    you have to admit a 12 sided barrle with opposed every second ring, looks better than a 8 sided barrle with out aposed rings

    It may even be just some more wasted polies for a friggin map model, not something like the CC or armory which you have to look at almost 24/7.

    It will be someplace in the map, and mass used (I expect so, looking at it being a barrel...), so there will be loads of it, and mappers can't waste polies as in your stupid "UT 2kX" fantasies.

    maybe triangle formats not the correct word how about triangle lay out

    eg the top pic shows my triangle lay out in if my vers all ran paralel like yours, points to yours next to mine

    the second pic shows how alternating every second ring gives the illusion that the barrel is more rounded

    i supose if hes going to stick 100 plus barrels in a map you want as low poly as you can get, but i was under the impression he wasnt useing them as a wall paper

    also i would like to know urd what makes a model better?


    points to so called poly waste area above the lcd and says lableing area, points to said over cliping and goes yeah its a little over cliped, but the controll panel connects to that rim so that a climat fillament can run around the inside of the drum
    instead of it jsut connectign to the flat out side

    but i mean whats the point really, i maybe the newb, but your the tossa

    The horrible clipping still destroys everything.

    +Your "illusion" only makes the model look slightly distorted because some poly edges that form lines and should go from top to down in line are raped.

    And you are still on that "OMG PUT POLIES IN THERE!!!"...

    bah. I hope this shuts your whines up, I'm getting tired of running against a wall of someone not understanding that higher poly = risky in maps...

    nicer, much nicer, still the flaring looks a little out of place

    but thanks ill let that one slide, and if it is used in mass scale to decorate a room that should fit in nicely

    oh and for the record your the one that, that pulled out the attitude first

    hum a animated texture on that drum lcd would look cool as

    looks good tho i think, dark will be impressed and very greatful

    oh and the really really main reason i havent been able to fix any of my work, is cos my 30 trial of milk shape ran out *shrugs* thats why i had to complie every thing with out cleaning it all up

    oh well obst your god yep you heard it here obst is god, *cough*

    oh and obst i look forward to working with you on many other projects : )

    the model is well done because there were two professionals at work.
    but the design... you would have to skin a sticker on it, telling you "this is meant for ns".

    the high polys kick the **** out of the low polys, well done, they dont need to super high poly like mine, but higher poly usaly means more detail more detail = awsome

    hum well if darks going to wall paper a map with drums the low polys would be very good for this maybe a bit hard to wall walk on, and the high polys can be used to skater around the map

    eg as in the drums people will hide behind, drums that will get looked at cloase up regularly

    still i think a few more skins should do the trick, needs to be a TSA drum running around and maybe some rusted older looking drums and a older tsa drum

    jsut my opinion tho
