Had a quick scribble in Photoshop (remind me to get a tablet some time), I'd imagine this to be somewhere between a skulk and a fade on the tech tree. I drew it in photoshop but forgot to make the background transparent, so to be able to colour it I used the magic wand to delete the white from between the lines, though as it was a sketch I didn't bother removing the smaller areas of white, that's all it is.
Ok, I have read this freaking fourm all the way to page 41 and i feel it is my patriotic duty as crappy artist to draw something stupid and get laughed at, but i can't think of what. I'm pretty good at scifi fan fic and am working on my own crappy scifi novel (Lol) so im just going to describe it and post a crappy picture later. Here goes.... (im doing it DM style cuz thats what im used to)

Where fangs woulld be is a tiny mouth filled with spike like incisors. A long forked tounge flickers in and out, similair to that of snake. Its skin is scale-like and mottled brown. To you, it seems almost cute. You bend down to pick it up and hold it in your arms. It steps back and quivers from something behind you. You hear the hissing of a fade.....</span></span></span>
Cool huh? If you pay attention, I tried to list possible abilities. I wanted it to be similair to what Deunun draw on around page 3 or 4. It could scout stuff out, like whatever it sees appears on the minimap and stuff, so it can like call for reinforcements (hence the fade). Its supposed to be itty-bitty with almost no health (Like a couple rounds of an LMG and its dead). But automated guns (like turrests) cant see it and mt can't track. It can poison u (like you SLOWLY die) with its sharp little teeth and it climbs walls (The little legs underneath have lots of grippy fluid and sharp hairs so it can stay on ceilings) I think it would be a cool thing. Ill post a drawing later (but itll suck). Oh yeah, it hast to have Scent Of Fear and pheromones built in (hence the tounge) Ultimate scout creature.
Plus, it can climb marines too (turn on friendly fire and he could get u to kill each other) like piggy back ride a marine (freakiing cool!). i dont know what he would have in the way of attacks, except the poison bite. Most definitely a leap attack tho. I think instead of extra attacks as hives are built, he should get upgrades instead (like invisibility) possibly a modified version of spores (like he shoots a cloud of spines on his back like earth spiders do with their butt hairs). Ill try to post a picture of what I see in my head, as to help the imaging along. I think it would be a great addition but u guys might not.

well NS does have an air unit. i thought it would be fun with a waterunit (not many maps have water,but still this one can function on land) the collar around its neck is a shield. i kinda found it a funny thing.because there is no real alien defense against GL's except the arse of an onos. and the frontlegs are melee. the idea was it to have sonar under water and that its electric,so it zaps rines like EL TF's or EL RT does. because no creature/structure that is alien has a electric ability. well.. tis all ideas =)
a tablet is a surface which you can "draw" on with a pen. you need a special pen and tablet. but you can draw on the tablet with the special pen,and the drawing gets transmitted to your pc.using metacreations or photoshop you can draw on the tablet and see the drawing appear on the screen.

Hmm... what about something that specializes in ambushes (this could also be the water alien, because a water specialty isn't very helpful) by being able to go completely invisible, even on radar. It wouldn't be able to move while it was invisible, and it would take a short amount of time to go invisible, but that might be more helpful than the water thing alone.
