    But it was Halloween! And yes NS had a pretty bad first day. How do these things happen? Is it like, the playtest server always has some anomaly that makes the team miss the bug or what?

    We'll give it a try, but it's hit and miss at the moment on whether you'll get a decent game. The gunfights are great though, so it's worth persevering, and in time it'll be a worthy mod.

    Yeah the gun battles are ace, but when the lag kicks in you've pretty much had it. If only the objectives etc where abit more visable shall we say it would pick up as a quality mod!

    BUT its just a 1st alpha!

    Yeah, the objectives are so vague and the radar is little help. I liked the Frontline Force method of showing the objectives, but that's just me.

    And just because I've not been able to find otherwise, is there really any difference between classes aside from speed and "health" yet?

    Hmm i think they can deal with the recoil (they heavy classes etc). But im not too sure i was looking for a newbies guide on their forums/site cant realy find anything.

    I posted in their forums pictures of the objectives.

    We're fixing lag and spawning issues. We're also making the dropped guns disappear, which will help with lag.
    We'll also differentiate classes more, but speen and health are the crucial ones. (as are playing strategies)

    Plus, it's a beta. We would never dare call this a 1.0 completed product.

    Yeah the lag is probably guns not disappearing when dropped. After a few minutes in a maybe 7v7 game you'd see guns everywhere. Also the smoke bombs, I think if everyone is using (I think maybe 1 out of every 3 player uses them) them, server would lag pretty bad.
