Siege Range

What exactly is a good guide to knowing the range of a siege cannon, or do you just have to build them and learn to eyeball it?

Or, what would be more useful, sites on maps that are guaranteed to hit a hive or a group of res nodes...

    on www.brywright.co.uk there is a great guide for commanders (cant remember who by "keep it gangsta?") but it shows some great siege spots. But ofcourse sometimes u just gotta learn your own. Invent and be creative (only in pubs)

    There are many great siege placements and threads about them, just use the bit slow search engine the forum itself has.

    just load up a map with sv_cheats 1 and place a siege on each hive location. You'll have a nice green circle showing the range when you select your siege

    couple hints to speed up this process (with sv_cheats 1)
    type in console:
    bigdig -- instantly builds structures so you dont have to leave chair
    givepoints -- gives you 20 res instantly
