Active Clans

How many clans are active in the area you play in?

I'm guessing that's pretty much only going to be Europe, North America and Australia/New Zealand but who knows, I just learnt there is a South African clan scene.

Also, out of those clans how many are good?

    In the US theres like 4 active teams. Meaning they try to scrim but end up playing Euro's instead because more Euro clans play ns than us.

    I'd say 10-15 clans in France. Don't know about their activity though...

    CAL has 28 right now and I would guess that there would be a few more teams coming in in the next couple weeks.

    40 clans listed in gamingorb, about 15 not in gamingorb.

    out of the 65 about 20 id say where dead but they disagree. 5 agree they are dead, 10 odd are just semi active. so we have a total of around 30 clans who are "living" but about 10 would be playing regular wars (regular being about 3/4 match's a week :/). 6 "top" clans.

    I can't speak for others, but Cold n' Shaved is definitely active. As a new clan, we're always trying to get more experience (and hopefully some degree of recognition) by scrimming. I was very disappointed that Elite X Operations forfeited the preseason match against us because they couldn't field enough players. Apparently a player quit the clan at the last minute.

    From what I've seen, EU's scene is going through a valley again, which will probably climb with b6, as usual with newer versions.

    Hopefully it will all get better when b6 is out.

    I'm from UK and you don't really see a lot of clans active around the European servers that I play in (THV/YO/Bry/Surftown). You occasionally see a player from the YO clan, you see a lot of THV's often, sometimes people from TWST and rarely some other clans. Out of these, I'd say some of THV's players are good, the rest aren't. Obviously, 'good' is a <i>relative</i> term.

    I think you'll find there are a lot more than you think.. they just won't use the tag or their real nick. Surftown especially has lots smurfs.

    Yes, there are more than them. I never join a public server with the same name twice because publics are generally there for warmup or messing around in between pcw's. If you're actually interested in clan play, grOOvy, then fire up IRC and join #ns.search and either ask to merc if you feel like playing or ask anyone looking for a game if you can spectate. There are a lot better players than those in THV and 90% are in clans.

    I wouldn't consider myself "good" but I almost always smurf in pubs, for one because it's just for **** about, and also due to an incident where I joined a server with my ebola tag on, was asked if I played for ebola, and was instantly banned after replying that I did.

    I'm sorry, but out of those 40+ clans there are maybe 6 that play pcw's. Clans that don't play pcw's aren't "active" in my book. Or do all the German clans play amongst themselves?

    Most of those clans don't even exist anymore.

    From what I've seen during my time here (in euroland) is that there are about 20, maybe 30 active clans that play pcw's regularly.

    Too lazy to count tbh <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
