So... me and some friends decided we're going to do a full 10 hour extended edition LOTR movie marathon. What are other good movies to do marathons to?

Hehe, some guys from work did the same thing a couple of weeks ago. I think it took them from 3 in the afternoon all the way out to 2 in the morning.

They were completely wiped out afterwards.

Once did a Kevin Smith marathon.

Clerks
Mallrats
Chasing Amy
Dogma

This was before Jay & Silent Bob Strikes Back and Jersey Girl was released, but i'd definately recommend the lot of them together.

I disagree. Though Tarentino is very powerful when it comes to conversations, his movies do tend to bore me. It's just too much conversation in my opinion. It has something I dislike. Don't kill me yet because I haven't seen the Kill Bill's yet.

I'd suggest Donnie Darko, Requiem for a Dream, The Butterfly Effect and Boogie Nights.

Don't watch Kill Bill vol 2. You'll regret it. I know I did.

I watched Red Dwarf series one to four back to back last weekend. (I couldn't remember at what point Red Dwarf jumped the shark, so I left it there.) Twin Peaks also makes good watchin'. When season one came out, I just went through the lot as soon as I could.

The Man with No Name series is pretty good. If you're not sure what that is, I'll tell you, but right now I'm too lazy to.

...Back to the Future? Maybe Jurassic Park...

Since all the other good series seem to have been stated already.

...or you could try pre-AI Steven Spielberg movies... or something.

I had a NGE marathon with a few friends a while back. All episodes of Neon Genesis Evangelion, plus the two movies (then brand spanking new) in one go, and that in the subbed versions. Afterwards, we were amazed to find that none of us caused yellow lines to appear whenever he spoke.

More like GitS & Innocence, then SAC.

The whole Cowboy Bebop series + the movie.
And um... Evangelion by any chance ?
