<div class="IPBDescription">getting your little pal from the bottom</div> okay many times there are stratigic loactions to build but a gorge cant get there bacasue they cant climb a wall. well you can get help from the following 2 aliens. 1 skulk: jump on skulk and tell the skulk to when ever you jump to move up. keep doing this and you will move up the wall. with a lerk jump on top of the lerk (this has to be against wall or youll fall off)and tell him to fly upwards. when you get to the desired hight jump off and go to the place you need to.
My words confusing well i tried.

    You'd never find this type of cooperation in a pub, unless you were both regulars at the same server.

    But yeah, dropping stuff in vents as a gorge is invaluable. I for one like to drop DCs at PSJ3, because that's always a hotspot and near the middle of the map, letting skulks heal.

    Wrong!

    I do / have seem this done on many games. It is very helpful when LerkLift is not present. Hopefully though in NS:S they'll remove it. I would love to see a phattey standing on the head of a skulks

    not only is it useful in building things strategically, but also to help little gorgies who are trapped in vents. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Skulk elevator, as it is known, is a quite handy way of shortening travel time.

    HOWEVER...

    Some vents need multiple skulk lifts, which will take a skulk away from the action. Second, some vents don't have the space for this sort of 2-person travel and thus can end up in a wasted trip.

    If you're stuck for getting into a hive, skulk elevator through a vent can be an evil way to bypass perimeter defences.

    In most pub cases, it's generally better to plan ahead and egg in the vent to start with, drop your stuff, and go back skulk.

    It's not like you want to stay gorge forever anyway, except sometimes at the end game. There is only so much a gorge can do, so once you run out of res to spend, you might as well grow some teeth.

    I've learned people to boost me in-game.. Not everyone knows how to do it, but everyone can be taught it. I don't think I've ever had a problem with getting boosted, other than having to wait for someone to come by.

    I play as a gorge on a regular basis, often staying as one for a large portion of the game. Boosting in pubs does happen, although less often than in scrims I would imagine. The key I find is simply making sure people know you want to be boosted, calling out a specific sulk that's nearby, by name, on the mic. Some people don't know what you're asking for, so explain "stand here, now jump when I say so" and so forth. Droping some chambers in key points helps get stuff done I find.

    As far as a gorge on being able to do so much, true. But I'll stay gorge and use my health spray on fades and lerks that need help in an assault, staying just out of the marines' sight. Knowing when to run tends to improve my survivability too.

    I'll have to try that "sulk elevator" trick, sounds devious.

    In 2.01 we used to do this as commonly as medics using heal in TFC, certainly not never! Even if you are playing with newbies, if you take the time to teach them it'll be a skill they won't forget. Or as the proverb goes <i><b>"</b>give a man a fish you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you give him food for the rest of his life.<b>"</b></i> Saying such overdrawn and incorrect rhetoric about pubs being a place of complete ignorance and lack of teamwork is an excellent way to show of one's ignorance. Never say never. Whining for a lift and griping that everyone in the server is stupid and inferior to you isn't a good way to ask for help.

    In conclusion: <b>Skulk elevators rule! </b> <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Answer to slayerkl2: "skulk elevator" is a viable and useful technique

    i never asked a wuestion fool. i ahave been using this since i dk 2 versions ago or soemtin liek that. i personally like to use the lerk one. If you and the gorge are communicating clearly you can lerklift without the plugin kinda. gorge walks forward you slowly fly forward.

    Skulk elevator should be left in for NS:S. <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Or they could remove it and make you egg in the vents after climbing in as a sulk. <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Honestly people, are we THAT lazy that we can't just get into the vents on our own? And, come tot hink of it, by doing it this way you free up that sulk/lerk to take down enemy rts, causing general mahiem, ect...

    Normally this is used for people who have been a gorge for awhile... no one eggs below a vent, then asks for a boost up, that is just stupid <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    You sir, stand corrected. That exact thing happened in a game I played since posting that. In related news yes, people really are that dumb.

    I doubt they can remove skulk elevators. Unless they remove wallwalk, or gorges ability to get out of/in to vents.
