Nothing really new, but there's mutant in it, so it gets points, but it doesn't get points under the ninja category.

A single stray particle could have caused this, you know. Birth defects are rather commen, including in humans. You just don't see them in the wild all that much, since they tend to die.

Things can up the chances of something bad happening, but it's not rare to start with.

ive heard about such turtles many times, i believe most of them do die due to something related to food. i forget whether one chokes while the other eats, or if they swim in circles, but something kills them quick.

And there you have it folks, natural selection in action. This is why all turtles don't have two heads.

Anyway, I think it is cute.
  • ZelZel Join Date: 2003-01-27 Member: 12861Members
oh yeah, i forgot to say i agree theyre very cute, and might make great pets if you could keep them from randomly dieing somehow.
  • MantridMantrid Lockpick Join Date: 2003-12-07 Member: 24109Members
Yeah, if you could figure out a way to force animals into having multiple heads, you would corner the pets market.

That's not a Turtle; its a Tortoise. Turtles live in water (mostly), Tortoises live on land.

And i should know; i have 3 turtles.

    I've had them for 12 years O_O

4 aquariums later and its still expensive, i estimate i've spent around $30,000 on them so far.

The interesting thing is Turtles can live a very very long time. My vet (yes i have a vet, and its damn expensive at $35 a turtle) said that they can live up to 45 years old.

We (that is to say, my parents and I) own a tortoise, and, the thing is, no one knows how long they live, because no one has seen one die from old age. My kids are going to freaking inherit this thing.

    Esiotrot, huh?

I wonder if it really is capable of surviving and supporting itself [themselves?] in its state.

Also, I want a double headed giant tortoise that can carry me around places, like the size of the ones in the Galapagos islands [i think]. That would be cool.
