Being Cursed At For Being A Skillful Player

by your own team!
i've complained about this before but today i just got such stark proof of it. the game is designed in such a way that dying can actually give you and your team an advantage.

i usually go lerk and i'm good at it so i hardly ever die. today my team was not doing well and at one point we lost a hive and we were left with one and the other one was building in the other location. the hive we were left with was for movement chambers except we lost all our movement chambers so i told my team-mates to build 3 movement chambers. they yelled at me to do it coz they said they had no res, which i didn't believe, and coz i had had 100 res for ages now. i refused to go gorge and build the chambers since i would lose the lerk and i refused to die as lerk. and if i went gorge it costs the same as dying as lerk basically. if i had died as lerk i would have been willing to go gorge and build the chambers and then gone lerk again except the marines didn't succeed in killing me. so my team was getting mad at me instead of praising me for being a skillful lerk. this is ridiculous. why should i try to deliberately be killed and why should the marines try to deliberately miss me. this is counter-intuitive!. so anyway nobody built any movement chambers and we lost the match. i've said this before. this game needs to be changed so that these design flaws are fixed. the game must NOT be balanced until AFTER these flaws are fixed.

    don't kid yourself.

edit: this in no way a flaw in the game.
this is a flaw in you, being an egocentric player.

not to say ns isn't full of flaws though.

May I suggest next time to either go gorge and build then re-lerk or go onos. Both these things would proabably help your team out alot more.

Uh yeah... dude if you have extra res and a little time and your team needs something, BURN IT!!!

You had enough res to put a hive, 1 movement chamber at your original hive (to warp to the hive under attack), and then go lerk again.

Anyhow I find it absolutely laughable you claim these are design game flaws where you refuse to adapt to the game.

I believe this brings up a old, but favorite quote of mine:

    "Newbies whine, veterans adapt."

There are no prizes for having 100 res at the end, WTH else are you going to do it? It's not like you died, stop caring how it feels like you died and help your team. The issue wasn't your team it was you being incredibly selfish - GJ!

So, the game isn't balanced because you are a res*kitten*. Makes perfect sense.

(Note: *kitten* is replacing another word. Use your imagination.)

I'm gonna have to agree with everyone else and say that the problem lies with you.

Since I do not see anything but flames emerging from this, I'll go ahead and ***lock*** the thread.
