Sounds like you need proxy port magic! xD

My current list of favourite henchmen/women:

    - Jubei; because you simply got to have sushi.
    - Matron; Come on... Mrs Doubtfire reincarnated? Must have! Plus she speeds up the regeneration process of Jubei's Wind-Walk which is very jolly.
    - Lord Kane; it's beneath Lord Kane to give you a reason why to like him.

Is it possible to play through the first island without attracting the attention of super agents, or are they attached to a trigger event? Stewie says they either come because of heat or random. Stewie says alot of things. He has a signature of me. I don't trust his judgement all that much. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Super agent appearance is directly linked to notoriety, I believe, as is the objective information about their weaknesses. Information about super agent weaknesses will only show up after you move to the second island, however. Most people only have Mariana and Jet Chan before they move, but if you do a lot of Acts of Infamy you can have pretty much every single agent on your tail, which is very bad.

Yeah, that's the situation I'm in right now. I got Bond, Rambo, the Russian chick... all of em.

I've had up to 4 in my base at one time. But I handled em. ;)

    Hmm...

I'm having fun again, but the game really is rather dodgy. In my previous miserable game, I only got to see 5 out of 6 uber-loot items (notoriety was 225 which is plenty for all of them) and didn't get alot of other things to show up on the worldmap either. Neither did my research lab research more than 3 items.

In my new game everything appears on the world map as it should and I can hardly keep up with the spree of new inventions, even though I half less than half the number of technicians and scientists than in my previous game. They were all idle and free to research items n both games. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Ok, i'm doing ye olde valet and confusion trap method of getting rid of agenst.. But they never seem to leave the fricking island! :O also,

I keep having minions leave due to loyalty problems (I suppose it's not too bad, certainly i'm losing less to loyalty than i am recruiting at the slowest level). I have loot in the staff room that is then hooked up to the training room and archives. My evil self is in the control room. How else can I keep their loyalty up?

    Random executions in those same places. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Your personal bodyguard will clap and rejoice when you do. ^_^

Actually, put loot in corridor junctions where lots of people go. Not in the rooms themselves. One minion will use a corridor far more often than your staff room, especially if your staff rooms are "hidden" away.

And be sure to execute deserters for A) personal pleasure B) set an example and increase loyalty for the minions that are near.

//EDIT: as opposed to my previous beliefs, freezers do not allow "loot aura". Meaning that once an "aura" item is placed within the freezer, its effects get nullified. Thus making the freezer a handy place to store your totem pieces (that influence your minions in a negative manner).

hm. do i just execute ppl by tagging them for death? or is there a special EXECUTE command? and i'm wary about putting loot in my corridors, because those bloody agents will see them and raise heat!

To clarify even more about finding the weaknesses about Super Agents, yes, you have to move to the second island. Unforturnately, you are only given the optional mission to destroy the Amazonian Chick, Mariana Mamba, I think, anyway after you get rid of her, the other agents WILL not show up unless you are in the process of getting the materials for you Doomsday Device. Then the objective to off the other S.A's will appear.

Here's my rank of S.A difficulty.

John Steele- The worst of the good guys, his pistol can off a worker in just 2 shots, has the most HP out of all the S.A's and he has the most annoying, not deadly, ability if you read his bio, he goes to a part any of your corridors or rooms and opens a hole. In the hole he messes with some sensitive wires that will in 15 secs cause mayhem to your systems. First, ALL, I mean EVERY door will reset to the 1st level, second, your alert system with go crazy from yellow or red alert. For some nanite reason objects will start to catch in fire, and if you have noticed how stupid valets are in putting out fires, it will be hell if you don't put them out before the go boom. I personally don't capture S.A's because they always break out of their cells sooner or later and blow up your cells or whatever they like. Suggest you have martial artist go up close and personel, or use Kane's Smooth Talker ability to be really cheap.

Katerina Frostanova- The blue haired, Russian chick in a pink dress. She is less deadly in all aspects of John Steele. He pistol is weaker, but only resulting in 3 shots to kill a worker. She has an invisibility ability that allows her to be invincible for a duration, but she can still attack with he pistol. The thing is when she is invisible, you can still see her transparent form. Easier than John Steele, suggest martial artists or Kane's ability again.

Dirk Masters- The all American Rambo, wielding two heavy machine guns and mowing down every minion you have. As it suggests he is very deadly at far range, but he is easy as pie when you go up to him and fight. I haven't had a lot of troubles with him since he usually is able to only kill 2-3 martial artists before he gets pounded flat by them. Didn't keep an eye on him, so I am not really sure what his ability does.

Jet Chan- The Bruce Lee S.A, deadly in close combat resulting in 1 hit kills of all you tier 1 minions. The good thing is that far range is key to distract him, throw fodder to stop him and get guards, mercs, or snipers to take him out. No special abilities except maybe a critical hit that does immense damage, and the c4 thing. I love to watch him when he fights. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Mariana Mamba- Basically all looks and no brains. Easiest of all S.A, only ability is to make one minion desert your evil cause by lowering their loyalty. Weaker than Chan in close to hand combat and no range weapons. Easily taken care of using almost anything as long as you have lots of workers or guards.

Traps are fun to use, but very flawed as better soldiers, Ex: good, exceptional, and excellent soldiers will always find he sensors and blow it up in 1 second. Other less smarter soldiers and even S.A will always trigger the trap and be confused, or hurt., but will then proceed to blow up the sensors as though he immediately sees them. Having more than 100 minions will make traps useless as their are too many minions coming in and out of your base allowing a safe road for agents to use.

Stewie wanted me to post the following and since I'm his sexy hoe I will:

If you want to skip all the intro movies and just load the actual game straight away, delete all the lines in your IntroMovies.txt which can be found in
    Evil Genius\DynamicResources\Video.
You can make a backup of the file just to be sure, but it doesn't seem to cause any errors or anything like that.

    Like that, Stewie? <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

First day in the game: "Yeah baby, yeah! This is awesome"
Second day in the game: "OK, the GUI sucks bad, but it's still kind of fun"
Third day: "Meh, this is repetitive... *runs off to edit some configs and save the fun*"

I am dissapointed of this game, it doesn't even provide a challenge when h4x0ring it.

what do you do about body bags accumulating? I mean, how many damn racks can you make in the freezer? one of the functions of the freezer, says the help file, is to keep bodies from deteriorating... why would you want to do that?? to keep dead bodies like trading cards? they should replace the damn freezer with a wood chipper or something for body disposal... or something a little less violent and more cartoonlike, like maybe a bottomless pit.

the point of the freezer is to hide the bodies but the downside to this is it takes longer for them to disapear

You are correct, the slower decay of body bags that are in the freezer is a negative effect, as it is meant to be. Its the tradeoff of not leaving body bags lying around the base attracting agents and scaring your workers.

The reason body bags take a bit to go away is so that you don't become a killcrazy lunatic who just puts the game on red alert and leaves it that way, instantly killing everybody. Its a way to force you to be more discrete about who you pick off and who you don't, as any real evil genius must be.

Or just do what I do: Build a bigger freezer. ;)

I only have three freezer racks and it's been sufficient for all my slaying sprees. I don't even want to know how many you've killed to need more. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

In addittion, yes, there should be more ways of disposing of bodies.

<i>"Then when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because there's no good in leaving it in a deep freeze for your mum to discover now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You gotta starve the pigs for a few days then the sight of a chopped up body would look like curry to a pissant. You gotta shave the head of your victim and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggy's digestion. You could do this afterwards of course but you don't wanna go sifting through pig **** now do ya? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to do the job in one sitting so be weary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs two-hundred pounds in about...eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of un-cooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression: "as greedy as a pig."</i>

    ^_^

Oh and besides that, the body bags are actually used for something later on. That "Move body bag off rack to..." function isn't there for nothing. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

One problem I have with Evil Genius is this interrogating thing. On the beginning mission, where you have to interrogate the maid....

I HAD THE MAID IN MY HOLDING CELL 4 TIMES. THAT'S RIGHT. SHE DIED, <b>FOUR TIMES</b> BEFORE ANYONE INTERROGATED HER.

oh yeah and I caught an exceptional agent dude, and I freed him on accident, and I kept issuing kil ltags but I forgot my door setting was set to 3 and they were all liek ):

and all my holding cells and interrogation chairs got owned.

one trick I like is to start a new game and build like 100 lockers so you can max out your minion population... then send tons of workers to every world zone with a good money output... it doesn't matter if you max out your heat because early in the game, no agents are sent... until you complete the first few objectives...

so yeah, save up a couple million at the beginning of the game if you want <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> on one hand, it's sort of an exploit, but on the other hand, it still takes a lot of time, and you can make lots of money at any point in the game if you're willing to invest a lot of time...

on a different note, I loathe Jet Chan. He can ONE HIT KILL Jubei, which has caused me to reload old saved games soo many times... <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Pjofsky make sure that your minions aren't laden with orders. If they're all really, really, really busy, they won't be able to make it to the maid before she starves.

I usually forget about the people I capture on the world map, hence they starve and I usually have to do those missions at least two or three times before I keep forgetting about them. <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/nerd-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
