Hl Doesn't Ever Close

<div class="IPBDescription"><insert swear words here></div> Ok, this is really getting to be annoying. Whenever I play NS I play some good games, about an hour or so. Then, when I decide to quit, HL quits, but it's still in my processes. My background doesn't show up (it's this ugly light blue) and I can't re run HL. It also chews up 10,000 K and over all makes my computer run crappily.

    Happens to me sometimes, only thing that worked for me is end process in task manager. I think it usually happens to me when my HL crashes somehow.

    Is there anyway to close it properly that I don't know about? I might be doing something wrong when I exit, cause this happens every time.
