Ilaria Graziano - I Do

Gets me depressed because of some things I tend to regret. Hence the reasoning for something in another thread. It's a song from the Ghost in the Shell SAC OST 2.

EDIT : Another song that makes me almost gets me is Red Hot Chili Peppers - Other Side

And for music that gets my blood going, Black Mages - The Decisive Battle (FFVI)

If you mean hammering itself inside your skull - then the song from hell starts of like this:

Sweet dreams are made of this, who am I to disagree?

Seriously, if that song doesn't stir your heart even a bit you probably need counselling.

The soviet anthem also can be a tear jerker for me, my great-grandfather used to hum it when I was little. He actually met stalin when he was young. *cries*

I actually like the Soviet anthem.

A pity it was so contrived to be a piece of propaganda and not birthed from a feeling of inspiration.

Time of your Life by Green Day

If I'm just listening I'm ok - but if I sing along (out loud or in my head) I get all choked up and teary.

Humm, what do you mean by this? The original or the one by Marilyn Manson (which actually is a great song)

The song, and the only one too I've noticed is "Ozzy Osbourne - See you on the other side" gives me memories of passed away pets and some people.. It's the thing for me which, if feeling like any crying I play it and let it come out.. In the middle of the song when he goes "But we'll be together carved in stone" is when it at least gets me through (get it? Get me through? By Ozzy.. ah whatever...)

I don't even need to be sad or anything.. I could just listen to it right now and get tears squeezed out... weird. But it's good if you want to show your emotional side (like my present girlfriend found out). I noticed that even TYPING that one piece of lyrics almost got me bite my lip! God, it's so weird I say...

You mentioned Clapton.

Tears in Heaven.
(Clapton wrote this song when his 3? year old son died in a fall)

That song hits me harder than most as Clapton is singing from personal loss and not just imagined/synthetic loss or sorrow that most rockers add to their lyrics.

(Would I be suprising anyone if i said it's because of a girl? No, thought not)

Terminus Discord - Music
(This isn't so much a piece that gets me all teary, but I find it very easy to get 'lost' within it)

No songs get me down because of a girl, but generally life, alot of Muse songs do (although they're like one of my fave bands and I listen to them all the time) but My Immortal and Celione Dione - My Heart Will Go On are both tear jerkers for me.

A song that gets me inside, not really sad, but sorta angry/depressed/frustrated is Hurricane by Bob Dylan. Just the way he tells a story of the stupid social prejudice that was so prevalent in our country gets me going. It makes me want to go out and do something about it.

Edit:

to see him obviously framed
couldn't help but make me feel ashamed
to live in a land where justice is a game

now all the criminals in their coats and their ties
are free to drink martinis, and watch the sun rise
while rubin sits like buddha in a ten foot cell
an innocent man in a living hell

Dylan has such a stirring voice, and his lyrics are straight awesome.

The only one that I can think of is the Moonlight Sonata by Thingummy Whatshisface. It doesn't make me really sad, just a bit contemplative.
