Revenge of the Sith
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...star_wars_title

The title of the third and most anticipated Star Wars Episode unveiled today at Comic Con. Begun the rumors/debate has! Clearly, this will be the darkest film, as the Sith will truly do some wicked stuff.

Interesting to note: "Return of the Jedi" was originally titled "Revenge of the Jedi", but it was appropriately scrapped.

Also, if not already heard, Gary Oldman will be voicing the new villain: General Grievous. Score One!

So it'll be even more mediocre? I'm willing to give the series a chance. If it still sucks, I'll sleep easy, knowing that it had a good life, and that, although it's death throes were scarring (Or should I say Jar Jarring?), Painful, and it wasn't pleasant to watch, It had a glorious time, and the RPG spinoffs will hopefully bring respect to it's name once more.

    God Im so tired.

At least General Grevious has a good chance at being good if he turns out as cool as he was in Clone Wars.

I'm going to give this one a chance. Hopefully Hayden has nailed down his acting well enough this time, and there won't be a soapy love story.
If George can nail down his script and dialogue, it's going to be a fun ride.

I've seen some of the behind-the-scenes stuff. There's a crashing ship where the actors had to be in a revolving in the air setpiece (reminds of the infamous Dark Forces: Jedi Knight level) and the 15+ minutes long duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin, billed as the longest duel in film history. And Gary Oldman as a villain !!

    Hopes in this one.

    But...

Every movie Gary Oldman is in rocks? How can he be in Star Wars episode 3?

And considering he was the main villian in Leon, which starred Natalie Portman, and he'll be a villian in Star Wars, which stars Natalie Portman.

I hope Obi-Wan knows the ring trick! ;)

i heard that they are going to be rerereleasing the originals and they will be digitally reremastered and they are also going to edit the ghosts on return of the jedi so that the ghost of anikin is the kid ghost, not the one thats there now. sounds like its gonna look **** to me.

Oh my. I sure hope to God that George ucas doesn't screw up this one as he did with the other 2. SW fans have been waiting for this and it is highly anticipated, so it better be good.

Week old dead fish > the new star wars movies.
A title possibility: "Star Wars Ep. III: You will waste $10 to see this." <- note attempt at jedi mind trick
I'll... um... "go see it" (yes... go see it... that's right...) basically because if nothing else, it has Natalie Portman in it. I sure as hell won't waste my money though. I'd rather spend $15 going to see something that has a remote chance of not sucking.

I can't believe that George Lucas managed to turn one of the most successful movie franchises into something that looks like it came out of Jar Jar's ear, and that he's still making it worse. I can only think of one other movie franchise that took as radical a turn as Star Wars, that being the Matrix. Maybe the {insert name of directors that I'm too lazy to look up how to spell} brothers took a lesson from lucas...

    meh.

I never was a big star wars fan myself. I went to see the first two because I had seen all the others, but I think I will wait until this comes out on TV, then waste my time for free.

Yeah, all the people moaning about him touching the original trilogy (which as far as i know is just a rumour anyway) annoyed me because the only people who'll *really* be bothered are the people who already own the original trilogy.... you know, the ones who wouldn't need to buy the new ones.

Wasn't General Grievous a semi-force wielding robot who can effectively use 3 lightsabres at a time, and fly in the Clone Wars series?

I have to say that out of all the four hours of previous prequal camel crap that Lucas has pulled out portman's arse, only the few minutes of lightsaber fighting in that Naboo generator room was good.

It's time George has stopped sucking his thumb.

    Let me guess..
Anakin is going to the dark side.
Yoda is going away to a swampy planet.
    Amidala will conceive twins.
One of them will be named Anakin and sent to live in Naboo with his uncle, under the care of Obi Wan.
Another twin will become a princess in another planet.
The Emperor will rise to power with his clone army.

DAMNIT, I'm good! I'm the next Nostradamus!

Uhh, don't you mean Luke, being sent to Tatooine? Besides, I hope it will be a little more complex than that...
