    It completely depends on who you're talkin about going to space. For instance:

    If you take it that the Navy is the one who builds and mans the ships, they would be sailing. Conversly, if the AirForce is the one to do it, they'd probably call it flying, etc.

    Most scifi these days just cops out with words like Cruise, Set Course, En Route, and the like <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I am using it in the context of space navy so i think it will be ok then. If i use it and it doesn't work, i'm sure you'll all tell me!!!

    If the spaceship uses a sail, it's sailing. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> Otherwise I'd say cruising.

    no really, as we haven't built any ships that travel through space....just pick a word that sounds correct; there's no "right" word.

    imo, naval terms are the most appropriate, but it's up to you
