<div class="IPBDescription">^^^^^^^</div> I have no idea if this is the right place for this, if not feel free to move elsewhere.

Anyways, when I try to play a demo I get the first couple frames and about a second of sound from the demo, then I instantly lose all on screen models, the screen gama drops into lower greyscales, and then HL freezes up entirely.

I have already confirmed it isn't an issue with steam or my HL version via a compleate reinstall (delete everything then install it again), but I preserved my steamaps profile, so it could be an issue with one of my client side variables or with my video card setup.

Running a Radeon 9800pro, on a P4 3.0Ghrz, Windows XP if any of that is relevent. I'm compleatly out of ideas.

[edit]I won't be responding for the weekend as I'll be out at the family cabin, but post away none the less, and I'll resurect this thread as soon as I get back (assuming I can't get if fixed before I leave)

Worked, thanks, but is playdemo not supposed to work with NS?
