<div class="IPBDescription">well all most all</div> Hi some of you may know me i host a very popular ns server in the UK called Bry's NS Server. I have recently got a new web provider and have 3gb of space of which i am currently using about 600mb of. (web site at <a href='http://www.brywright.co.uk/ns' target='_blank'>http://www.brywright.co.uk/ns</a> )

So i thought i would try and provide a service for all ns mappers.

I have put together a mass ns download system at

<a href='http://www.brywright.co.uk/downloads/files/index.php?dir=natural-selection/' target='_blank'>http://www.brywright.co.uk/downloads/files...ural-selection/</a>

it currently has over 320mb worth of maps alone. But althought i have quite a few maps i dont have them all <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

So if anyone knows of any maps that are missing, if they could provide a name and where to get them from id be obliged.

Also, for anyone that has just made a map, got a map already made and not on the download system or makes a new map you can easily add your map to my download system simply upload your map as a ZIP with all included files (spr and res for ns_) to

ftp.brywright.co.uk
user: ns@brywright.co.uk
pass: uploads

So there is no need to worry about hosting.

I will also shortly be adding as many models and skins which i can find.

Ever since thehivemind went down ive missed a central place for ns maps. I am hoping to provide this to the ns community

<b>update</b>
I have now enabled direct uploading. Simply go to
<a href='http://www.brywright.co.uk/downloads/files/' target='_blank'>http://www.brywright.co.uk/downloads/files/</a>
enter ns/uploads as a user/pass and you can upload your files directly. I will be monitoring the log file and file sizes to make sure only maps are being uploaded. You may still use the ftp system for large files though.
I have chmoded the user file to make sure no1 can change the pass as well.

Thats the most complete list of (working) downloadable maps I've ever seen, maybe you could get this thread stickied by a mod, since its very usefull and the best effort yet in getting a complete download list.

Awesome job there... this is exactly what we need <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Edit: having some trouble with the FTP however... when I send a FTP command after logging in (such as "ls") it says "I won't open a connection to 192.168.1.40 (only to 142.xxx.xxx.xxx)" then it won't let me do anything.

192.168.1.40 being my local IP behind a router, 142.xxx.xxx.xxx being my public IP.

Hi it sounds like you have a problem with port forwarding on your router. As i just tried it myself and it seems tobe fine.

But try using the actual ip instead of ftp.brywright.co.uk which is
    69.57.163.162

edit: the download system i use has its own built in upload system so people can directly upload to the correct folders. However, i am weary of enabling this as i dont want one bad apple to come along and trash the system. I suppose i could enable it without overwrite on though.
Let me know what you guys think

You could always put up a mirror for Altair. There should be a link in my sig for the most recent public build. I believe there is a newer build floating around somewhere that I sent to Jaba for testing at a LAN party.
