What Soundcard Are You Using

Currently i have an Audigy OEM, it's not bad at all. But what pisses me off is that some people can hear me fine on the server and then some say my mic is choppy as hell. I've done everything i can to fix it, and this is as close i've come to making it work. Now i'm just getting **** off so i just decided to get a new card. So what i want to know basicaly, is what card you have and if the mic works fine in game.

I have an Audigy 2 right now, but I think my next buy will be an Aureal. The Soundblasters pop and crackle a lot, sound is ****, etc.

Problem is, there's no competition in the sound-card market, and very little technological advances you can make sound-wise.

I've had no problems with it at all. Mic sounds fantastic. EAX = teh win.

I'd say it's not a problem with the mic itself. Check drivers, connection, settings, ask if those who hear you choppy have their own problems. If some hear you well and others don't, it's probably not the sound card.

I have an sb live 5.1. My mic also sounds like im pressing the key over and over again while im talking. I tried to get it fixed for like 2 months, tried everything everyone told em to do, but to no avail. The sad part is, it was working GREAT when i first formatted my computer again, then I turned it off, went to bed, got up, turned it on, and it was gimped again. Even worse, it works fine for everything but half life. I use it for ut2k4 all the time.

Drivers, connections etc everything's fine. I've been over that part many a time, believe me, something HAS to do with this sound card.

    Soundblaster, works like a charm.

Mic isn't choppy, and neither is the sound.

I have a crappy AC '97... its one of those built-in sound cards, but it works fine, so I really don't care all too much until I move out for college (another 4 years...)
