    With celerity and adrenaline, lerk can be really deadly.

    I think that jp with hmg are wasting onos too fast, they should change that.

    Biting with a lerk without celerity and carapace is suicide. Yes you may kill 1or 2 that way but the chances are half the time you go in the marine will kill you if he can aim. Its no more dificult then aiming at celerity bunnyhopping skulks. The simple matter is, it is possible, but it's not worth risking 30 res. Now if they brought the 2.0 flight model back............

    some-what off-topic but i had to say it somewhere...
    i just dont get why spores do damage to a marine's armor, considering they inhale the spores, and HA has a gas-mask so they don't breathe them, wouldnt it only damage health? seems a little strange to me, must rapidly reproduce inside the marine and create an acid that comes out of a random part of his body melting some of the armor away as well... yeah, that's it, they can use that in the guide so it makes sense why it damages armor
    as for the upgrades on a lerk, i like focus/regen/celerity, regen so i don't need to rely on dc or a gorge to heal me (or a hive of course), celerity so i can outrun jpers (not having celerity is suicide as jpers can outrun you easily, and anyone with half-decent aim can pick you off while you're trying to fly away), as for focus, well, its just a quicker kill on jpers since they move around so easily and its sometimes hard to keep up, regeneration is the only defensive upgrade i ever use in NS (in co i use regen AND cara for my uber-skulk, but thats another topic) period. celerity is the only movement upgrade as its much better than silence (since usually you get it at the 2nd hive and they'll probably have mt by then), and i think cloaking is a waste as you can just gorge and drop sc all over if you're that worried about cloaking, not to mention that chances are when they see it they'll kill it, so it kind of gives away their location to you as well, back on-topic...
    i hardly use spores or umbras unless i'm covering an onos or something because the limited energy thanks to celerity makes it hard to use them and attack afterwards (usually without focus, but i don't like using them in a combat situation period), occasionally i use primal scream when an onos is taking an rt or i want a 2-hit focus kill (thanks to the increased damage from the primal scream of course)

    Standard armor is Kevlar-2340-XR and that is corroded by the spores as they react with kevlar to carbon dust.

    HA is a Titanium kind of metal with enforced rubber at the joints, wich does not react with spores.

    The player not beein affected is due to the gas mask so were talkin two diffferent effects here.

    And from the look of it the HA is kind of metal and the standard amor is kind of a textil / leather / flexible stuff so my theory fits into the models.

    Human skin creating an acid that can melt their amor but not kill em instantly is a bit strange but thats just my opinion anyway <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    well,most people before beta4a went adren regen lerk,cause they couldnt fly to good and liked to spore alot

    i always went celerity carapace,so now that flying is less,its even easier to not get in a bind
