<div class="IPBDescription">In a stylistic change.</div> I've decided to try out a little style change here. It's a pseudo-play format - arranged in acts, with much dialogue. Comments after reading? Note: If anyone else has done this before, I didn't know. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

<b>Prologue</b>

[Scene: A ruined city on a distant colony planet, crumbling, with debris scattered into the broken streets. Heavy rainfall pounds the few still-standing buildings. Jameson, a TSA marine, stands center stage, cradling his LMG in his arms.]

Jameson: Am I the last one? Where are my friends?

[A sudden noise is heard off-stage, through the rainfall.]

Jameson: What? What was that!

[Enter Dieson, another marine, wounded but alive, pistol in one hand.]

Jameson: Dieson! You...made it.

Dieson: Yes, friend. But not for long. Our allies are gone, and we are but two men in a city full of enemies.

Jameson: Then we must fight.

[Exit Jameson and Dieson.]

    <b>Act I</b>

[Scene: A dark alley, leading into a crumbled wall. Three fresh corpses are sprawled on the ground, maimed and bloody.]

[Enter Skulk, his teeth bloody, standing over the corpses.]

Skulk: Ah, the blood of my enemies! How sweet!

    [He chuckles.]

Skulk: But two more remain that would threaten our hive.

    [He snarls.]

    [Enter Gorge.]

Gorge: Ah, my anxious friend. We shall find our enemies soon, and avenge our friend, Lerk. Come! We must prepare, if we are to strike swiftly.

    [Exit Skulk and Gorge.]

    [Enter Jameson and Dieson.]

    Jameson: No...no!

[He kneels by the bodies, bowing his head for a brief moment.]

Jameson: Richards...Langston. Simon...it was the Kharaa that did this, wasn't it?

[He stands up, still looking at the bodies.]

Dieson: I know how you feel. They were my friends, too.

[He lays a hand on Jameson's shoulder.]

Dieson: But they're gone now. We have to escape now, so we may send word of this incident. It's the best we can do.

    [He steps back.]

Jameson: Yes...you're right. But we'll avenge them on our way out. May their souls rest in peace.

    [Exit Jameson and Dieson.]

<!--emo&::gorge::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/pudgy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='pudgy.gif' /><!--endemo--> *chuckles maniacally* the blood of the our armoured foe shall soon find it's way to our mouths, the sweet taste running like succulent honey, dripping from our chins.

Sems strange to have them talking. I imagine constumed people as opposed to real aliens, hopefully that was your intension.

Yeah, basically. I didn't really want to have something like, "Skulk: *snarlgruntchuckle*". And like I said, it's in pseudo-play format, so it's not really meant to be used that way, but you could think of them as people in costumes.

    And yes, <!--emo&::gorge::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/pudgy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='pudgy.gif' /><!--endemo--> is actually more bloodthirsty than it appears. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
