Blink ability?

Hey can someone help me here... Ive tried to use blink in every game yet.. its only worked twice.. 90% of the time.. he just sits there.. what am i doing wrong? I point... I click.

Oh and btw... about aliens being useless ones heavies are out... Me and a talented team of aliens went toe to toe with them and rocked them in the late game  <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo--> gg to all those guys who played with me

    Aim up a bit, blink is like a catapult, if that doesn't work jump and blink

    do a jump crouch in the air, then try it, it will work much better.

    If you get under attack blink will save your life by allowing you to not only blink to safety, but when you blink marine players will have to re-aim at you.  It can also get you behind an enemy to slash at him while he wonders where you went, past defenses, or you can just use it as a travel tool.

    Of course, you'll have to have a quick weapon selection finger to pull off some moves, especially while under fire.

    One thing though, the Fade is slow, so get celerity and cloaking to offset that, and carapiece will also help keep you alive long enough to reach them.

    I thought blink allowed you to move through things like players, walls, etc. I guess that was changed for balance reasons?

    It was changed because it couldnt be coded effectivly in time.  It was planned, and I'm sure still is, but with everyone on the forums getting upset NS was being pushed back, it was decided to make Blink usable.  Not work 100% of the time.

    i dun think moving through walls would unbalance things too much. aliens stereotyped as attacking from unusual angles n stuff so i think it would be natural for something like a fade to be able to come in the rear door...er..wall.
    Most games Ive played has a crazy marine commander fortyfying his base like fort knox anyways.

    though i admit most my kills are as a gorge. i mean who cant resist building yerself defence and the web and the lil skulks u spawn and the lot? that + redemption lvl3 is pure gold.

    blink thru walls would be awesome.  I love the Fade.  turn on cloak and hide outside marine base, let them walk by you then get behind 2-3 of 'em.

    seeing as how siege cannons attack thru walls, i see no balance issue =)

    Aye -  hence the name of Fade, it has the ability to fade in and out of sight(cloack+blink through walls).

    Tis good now, but i think the fade is a little underpowered tbh. With the ability to go through walls it should be good, if not a right laugh.

    LoL, imagine how they would react to 4 fades just appearing in the least defended part of their main respawn base  <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
