Cant Enter Ns (the Game Not The Menu) On Steam

So when I installed a new motherboard and processor I took the chance to reformat my hardisk. Now after I have reinstalled steam and ns again, ns appears to crash (read: says beep-beep and reboots the whole computer) everytime
the progress bar gets completely and it's about the show the readyroom. Other games works fine (cs, dod, tfc all work) So it must be a ns problem somehow.
My spec.
Athlon XP 2600+ (clocked to 3200+)
2,19 GZ
512 MB DDR ram
Radeon 9700pro (or 9600, cant remember)
Yes I have overclocked but I have also installed a giant cooler at the size of a car engine, it hov<b>a</b>rs around 30 degree celcious. Anyway I have tried reinstalling but it is no luck.

and it could also be a sound card prob. Update the drivers for it.
