And now is a good time for the guardian to figure out who they should protect for tonight. Reasonable wolf targets would include me (twice as many posts as anyone else in the game, I've been involved with TWG here more than just about anyone else besides Petco and Freak83 (who doesn't count since the wolves can't target him)), Eternaly_Lost (who has also been fairly active), Comprox (for the ideas about sharing clues with each other, though this has kind of been taken on by the whole group in different forms), and doomchica (for the idea about how we should move to different rooms in a coordinated manner). Outside of those choices, it's probably going to be a random target, in which case the chances of successfully guarding someone are slim.
See, posts like these are the reason the day should go on as long as possible.
Mantrid last posted 14-15 hours ago in the off topic section. He probably forgot. Omegaman hasn't posted since 4-5 days ago. Isamil has been logging in and out of the channel, so I guess he is either waiting until the day is about to end to vote, or he forgot about voting.

<b>Omegaman</b> woke up in an instant as he heard a loud crashing sound coming from the kitchens just south of him. He had arrived seven hours ago waiting for the competition to start, and in sheer boredom, he had wandered around the place and come across a lounge with some very comfortable looking sofas. Doing what any rational person would do, <b>Omegaman</b> decided to sleep on one of the sofa’s until the contest started.
“Looks like I overslept…” he muttered to himself groggily as he stood up and stretched taking a huge yawn. Blinking a couple of times to adjust his eyes to the light <b>Omegaman</b> wandered over towards the kitchen door to see what the ruckus had been. He slowly creaked the door open and inside saw two random people tearing the place apart. What on earth were they doing?
Attempting to get a better look at what was going on <b>Omegaman</b> quietly snuck over towards the two strange men who were going through cupboards throwing pots and pans everywhere. Quickly ducking as a particularly large cooking pot was tossed at his head he walked over to one of the two men and was about to tap him on the shoulder when - “Hey! Who are you!?”
The other man had spotted him sneaking up behind the first man and was now facing <b>Omegaman</b> holding a frying pan in what appeared to be – a battle stance. “Hey… easy now, I’m not gonna hurt anybody… My name is <b>Omegaman</b>. I’m here for the contest.”
The two men looked at each other briefly before facing <b>Omegaman</b> again. The one holding the frying pan in a battle stance spoke. “Right, well I’m <b>Comprox</b> and he’s <b>Petco</b>” <b>Comprox</b> said giving a quick point to the man still crouched next to <b>Omegaman</b>. “And why exactly if I may ask, were you crouched over <b>Petco</b> like that?”
“Huh… I just wanted to see what he was -”
WHAM!
<b>Omegaman</b> collapsed to the floor as <b>Petco</b> had unexpectedly gotten up and smashed the side of his head with a large heavy cooking pot. As <b><!--coloro:red--><span style="color:red"><!--/coloro-->Omegaman<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--></b> lay there on the floor, blood began to ooze out from under his head from where he had been hit. Both <b>Petco</b> and <b>Comprox</b> stood there for a second stunned before <b>Petco</b> spoke. “…Someone…. Someone had to cast the first blood… And he… he wasn’t in the main hall with us earlier…”
<b>Comprox</b> nodded solemnly. “What do you think we should do now?” he asked.
Before <b>Petco</b> could respond however, a weird noise got them to turn their head as a flap on the east wall of the kitchen retracted itself to reveal a monitor hidden in the wall. A second later, the monitor became activated and the face of Freak83 appeared on it. “Ah hello there everyone! How nice to see all of you working so hard to uncover the treasure. I would just like to announce that the first of you has been killed. <b>Omegaman</b> is now dead so you are one person closer to winning this competition! By now some of you have managed to find some of the clues I’ve scattered around this place. Please if you are able to figure out the combination send a text message to my personal cell phone number listed here on the screen. I wish all of you the best of luck, and happy hunting!”
As the message ended, the monitor shut off and the flap on the wall went back up. “You know what?” asked <b>Comprox</b>. “He’s way too happy for someone who wants us all dead.”
I’m very happy to see the amount of activity and energy in this game from all of you! You’ve all been playing great so far, and from the host perspective it’s very interesting to see how you’re working out what to do with all of the individual clues. The only thing I would like to mention is, have you been thinking about the group clues too? After all, I’ve already provided enough information for you to figure out the combination with them. (Although I did warn you they’d be vague <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />).
Anyway, it is now night time. The Psychic (if alive) will be getting their first PM from me tonight regarding the amount of remaining wolves. Will the Guardian, Seer, and a Wolf representative (if alive) please PM me with your respective jobs. In addition, all players may PM me what action you would like to take to search for the individual clues. Once again these actions are:
- Search (search the room you’re in and will be certain whether or not that room contains a clue.) - Move and search (move one room, horizontally or vertically and search that room) - Move (move a maximum of two rooms but do not search it for a clue)
In addition to sending me your action, please also include your guess for the vault combination. Only one guess per player.
Lastly, if any players would like to send me logs or information of things that are happening behind the scenes (especially players with roles) it would help me make a better decision for MVP at the end of the game. This is not necessary so you don’t have to go out of your way to do this.

<b>TheAdj</b> walked into the den of the mansion all alone. Only minutes ago he had heard that someone had been murdered. It was absolutely vital to discover what the clues were and find the artifact before anyone else had a chance. “<i>But what could it possibly do?</i>” he wondered throwing the cushions off of the sofas. Was Freak83 merely going to tell the person who found the artifact that he had won this competition? “No no, that wouldn’t make any sense. It’s not the way his mind works. He’s a bit… eccentric.”
He shook his head, this whole ordeal was driving him crazy. He was even talking to himself now. <b>TheAdj</b> took a few steps forward and – “Oof!” His foot had caught the edge of the carpet and he tripped nearly hitting his head on the coffee table. “Phew that was close” he said. If he had fallen a little bit farther, his head would have been cracked open.
In another area of the mansion <b>Nightstalker</b> walked into the kitchens alone. He ventured forth into the dark room nearly slipping on some sort of liquid that had been spilled onto the floor. As his eyes adjusted to the light he saw that pans and pots had been thrown everywhere. “<i>Great, I hope I can find some sort of clue in here…</i>” he thought to himself frantically.
The news of <b>Omegaman’s</b> death had been sudden, and <b>Nightstalker</b> now more than ever felt absolutely panicked to find enough clues to guess the vault code. Needless to say, he didn’t want to be the next one on the list to die. Out of the blue, <b>Nightstalker</b> heard a crackling sound. What was it… it sounded like… electricity? He took a quick glance up, and saw a large microwave snapping sparks dangerously. He traced the cord for it, and saw that it had apparently been sliced by a knife. But what he saw next was what made him sweat the hardest. His foot was only about an inch away from a puddle of water in which had the electrified end of the cord dipping into it. The water sparked dangerously and <b>Nightstalker</b> backed away realizing how close a call he had just had.
Elsewhere, <b>Chakuu</b> entered into the bedroom of the mansion. He had just finished searching the north corridor and was now anxious to see if the bedroom of the mansion contained a clue for him. The death of <b>Omegaman</b> was disturbing but still he thought, it was expected that some of them were to die and after all it was all part of the game. He smiled, he had karate training and was ready to see some action if it came his way. “<i>Just let them try to take me down.</i>” he thought.
<b>Chakuu</b> pulled back the cover of the bedspread but didn’t see anything. He lifted up one of the pillows took a jump backwards in shock. There was a live <i>scorpion</i> right below the pillow. “What the hell is this place!?” he shouted out. Turning the scorpion began to walk towards him and <b>Chakuu</b> backed into a dressing cabinet. He heard a shaking sound and above his head a large clock which had been resting on top of it plummeted towards him. With a large yelp, <b>Chakuu</b> jumped out of the way as the clock fell to the floor with a heavy thud. Instinctively, he picked it up and chucked it right onto the scorpion squashing it like a bug. Breathing heavily, he backed down against the cabinet clutching his beating heart at what could have easily just been his death.
In another area of the mansion <b>screaming_tree4</b> walked out of the room leaving <b>Mantrid</b> in it alone. A moment after <b>screaming_tree4</b> left the room Freak83 walked into it from the opposite door and <b>Mantrid</b> spun around looking at him. “Uhh hi, why… are you here?”
Freak83 simply smiled. “My staff decided they would like you to die tonight.” He pulled out a gun and shot <b><!--coloro:red--><span style="color:red"><!--/coloro-->Mantrid.</b><!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc-->
I decided to give you a little bit of information on the group clues. While the individual clues are more about giving you enough information to get one or two numbers at a time, the group clues refer to the puzzle as a whole. If you figure out the group clues you can get the entire combination in one go and even use the individual clues you may know to back up your theory.
Another note, there have been several instances where some of you have messaged me asking something and I have not responded. In these situations I am not ignoring you, I just feel that any response I give will influence you or give away information that you should not be able to get from me. Please understand if I do not answer your question I have a reason for doing so.
One question I got I felt wasn’t fair to answer the individual alone who asked it but I will answer it to everybody. It is possible that the combination contains the same digit more than once.
Lastly, those players with a line next to them indicate that they have done “Move and Search” and the line shows from which room they just moved. A player without a line means they have done “Search” or I did not receive a PM from them indicating what type of movement they wanted to do. A player with a red line going through him means that player is dead and died in that room. (this doesn’t really have an effect on gameplay, it’s just for show).
Day Two will end Thursday at 9:00 PM EST. Instalynch is at 8.
I like to first post that I am amazed at the result of the second day. According to doomchica's suggestion, all but 2 followed it to the tee. This is good. This means that everyone as a group is working together to find out the clues.
... This also means that the wolves for the moment is following the idea as well... either avoid suspicion or have influenced this plan to their benefit.
Just for information, only 2 players did not follow doomchica's suggestion. I have no idea why. They are: GrayDuck and Demiguise.

Ok I've been getting asked this same question a bit so to clarify. With move and search there are only TWO possible things I would have sent you.
"You have a found a clue" "You have failed to find a clue"
If you are the only one in the room and get the second message then it's safe to assume that room does not contain a clue. If there are people in the room with you and you get that message then there's no way to tell if the other person found the clue or if that room does not contain a clue.
Well, I can only think of one reason for wolfing Mantrid... The wolves take out an inactive player, giving us absolutely no information. If it was someone active, wolfing him would at least give us a hint of a motive (Or at least create enough controversy that someone slips up)...

Doomchica also stayed in the same place.
I'll vote when we can confirm who is inactive or active. <!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Doomchica stayed in the same place because he forgot to PM the first day, hence he just... 'appeared' there.
Before I start voting, maybe Demiguise stayed in the same place on purpose. There were 2 people in the room the night before. If there is a clue there, Demiguise could of stayed trying to get if, if they didn't get it the first night. Or they just could be AFK. Demiguise, please, let us know!
As for killing off the inactive player, yah, it leaves nothing to go on, sigh.

For the group clues there's been some discussion and asking me for clarification on it. As I said in pregame <i>you will have to think outside the box in order to solve the combination with group clues.</i> I've said time and time again that the clues are intentionally vague so to solve the combination with group clues you will have to reread the stories.
This next part is new information, which I have been debating myself whether to tell you or not about them: The group clues are not hidden to the point where you would have to be highlighting text and trying to find invisible letters. They are plainly visible and readable and don't require any fancy tricks or mouse maneuvers to see.
As I mentioned earlier, there is already enough information provided with group clues in order for you to solve the combination.

Yeah one more thing, there's no complicated math involved in any of this. I'm mathematically retarded so I couldn't even make clues like that if I wanted to.
And the reason i didn't follow doom's suggestion is that i have i am my own man and can choose what to do. And i check everyday if there is anything new in this thread, if i doesn't require my input i don't input. If it does then i do.
<!--quoteo(post=1599555:date=Jan 17 2007, 10:15 AM:name=Demiguise)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Demiguise @ Jan 17 2007, 10:15 AM) </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->And i check everyday if there is anything new in this thread, if i doesn't require my input i don't input. If you're only going to post when someone specifically addresses you, then you're really not helping very much. This game is all about communication, whether it's encouraging cooperation and exchanging information (Humans) or creating doubt and suspicion (Wolves).
I'll hold my vote for now, in case Demiguise plans on joining the conversation.
I spoke in IRC, PM'd doom & im_lost.... and it was the consciencus that I should go down instead of over since omegaman was lynched and he was the person who was supposed to double check the room.
I wasn't acting out against the plan, I thought organized movement was / is a great idea.... but it does have to take into account whoever is dieing during the day... the last post of the day should be the final gameplan <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
Demiguise, it wasn't just your lack of posting that made me assume you were inactive. It was also your lack of being on IRC. If you aren't going to be on IRC for people to ask you stuff, and if you're just checking the thread every day (your words), then you should probably find something to say during those times.
Please don't forget to factor in that your all (from looking at the Pre-game list) PST and EST, a good 5-8 hours behind me. Im in school when you wake up and by the time your looking at dinner/tea time i'm in bed or relaxing.
Ok... In IRC I think the idea of sharing whether your room contained a clue or not came up... for now, just a simple yes/no...... and I guess we can go from there? This way - we can catch people lying without sharing real clues with the wolves.
My two rooms: Main Hall - Contains a clue Lobby - No clue

As I mentioned earlier, there is already enough information provided with group clues in order for you to solve the combination.
I don't think there was any indication. Except for the fact that 'chica' is spanish for 'girl'. She also happens to be my roommate.

For some reason I thought 'she' as well when I saw the name. On a side note:
ZOMG CHEATER ROOMATE! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
And the reason i didn't follow doom's suggestion is that i have i am my own man and can choose what to do.
And i check everyday if there is anything new in this thread, if i doesn't require my input i don't input. If it does then i do.
