So truthfully when was the last time you guys all done those things? I'd imagine a lot of the forumites don't get enough organised sport activity as they should. Like most people do I stick to a few mainstream sports, infact all I really do is running, muscle building exercise and swimming once a week =/ So for alot of people, including those sports as a big part of life in which you will get faeces from is pretty stupid. Although I won't argue because you guys are oh so clever.

I don't play volleyball because I find it boring and annoying, but all the others I do regularly or semi-regularly, with other exercise on top. The fact that you labelled it as for "over-active super" athletes is more than enough of a tell. I'm not saying you're going to get infected from doing it, that's just too improbable, but that's all just part of a healthy lifestyle.
And there are plenty of ways to get faeces on you without engineering specific examples. Traces of faeces are prevalent enough among people who go in a toilet, wipe, then wash their hands. Imagine a cat who has to go in a litterbox and has to clean itself using its tongue, and is then petted by a human who then touches another human. It's not hard to imagine at all, although I do suspect the effect and scope of this parasite itself is blown way out of proportion.
