Good point Valo. I wasn't thinking about the Mods when I made this thread, but I'll add that to the list, thanks.

[edit] Seems we lost <!--coloro:#FFFF00--><span style="color:#FFFF00"><!--/coloro-->4><!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--> at the rollback. Not sure if we'll get it back or not. [/edit]

A lot of people are hung up on phpbb, I don't understand why. Once you figure out IPB it is so customizeable in the back end.

Maybe because some people don't have money for IPB.. and don't want to pirate it?

It's worth every penny though. And yeah...

<b>Any NS Forum Staff with AdminCP access:</b> PLEASE, for the love of God, either rebuild the skin cache (doubtful) or go to AdminCP / Tools & Settings / Maintenance / Recount & Rebuild / Rebuild Post Content, so that all of these broken smilies will be fixed.

Yes, it's a resource-intensive process, so do it when there's not much going on here ... but there has to be a zillion broken ones here. <img src="http://www.nsmod.org/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif" border="0" alt="IPB Image" />

Don't they already have to do that once the site is made completely public anyway (and no longer running at :90)? Hopefully that won't be too long, in which case it would be better to wait until then. Then again, it could be another six months, so maybe it would be a good idea to do it now.

Or maybe, this coalition to prevent smilie abuse has infiltrated the powers that be? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":0" border="0" alt="wow.gif" />

Depot, there is a lot of custom code tied into the new forums, some things that may be simple on existing distributions of IPB can break this forum <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />

I see we've finally upgraded to v2.17 - congrats, as this version is much more secure.

Of course, 2.2 beta has just been released to the public for testing, so it won't be long and you'll be doing it again. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/confused-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="???" border="0" alt="confused-fix.gif" />

I see they've upgraded these to 2.17, which was very wise.

All features posted here should still apply though.

You realize you said that in your previous post, right?
