This new version contains a number of code changes that are going to be especially interesting for seasoned players. This patc would not have been possible without the help of a number of dedicated server communities, many of which will already run this patch as you read this.

In short, we changed the following for this iteration:
- Implemented a reworked hit registration code that orients itself closer around model shapes.
- Removed the shotgun's falloff to remove a number of associated bugs.
- Profiled and optimized server performance to reduce CPU load. Although results will vary from system to system, we expect many serverops to see up to a 10% increase in average server FPS. This is just the first stage of performance optimasation, expect more in 3.1.
We hope you'll enjoy this new build!<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I have published the excel spreadsheet he provided to us <a href='http://www.dspsrv.com/~hjw/NSPerformance/304-305/' target='_blank'>here</a>.

We'd love to hear how your servers perform on 3.0.5.
I'm not familiar with the term nadagasting, but you are correct - in 3.0.5, hitboxes should be correctly alligned with the model of a wallwalking skulk.
it's a basic term you use for an excuse when you die to a wallwalking skulk
i dont know how bad the hitbox misallignment actally is.
good to hear it's fixed
You're only half right, here in Britain we generally use s's instead of z's for words containing 'ise' or a similar sound.
You nubs also say "titbit" instead of tidbit. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

There is no such change in 3.0.5.

if youre talking about 3.0 then stop, this is about 3.0.5
if you meant that its been out already, yes true. but not publicly, just on a few select test servers. however now it is available for everyone.

It has been out for like a few weeks now on Kazaa or some place. There is a leaked version i think.

No shotguns, no movement, no skulk-things, etc. Just those three things there. Yay?
Edit: Although, those three are pretty huge, really.
Nope.
The only change to shotgun this build is that its damage remains constant, regardless of distance to target. They tried fall-off damage in 3.0[something], but it was too buggy. Back to how it was before.

Are the shotgun things planned for 3.1? I was looking forward to a more realistic shotgun.
Yeah and there are aliens climbing in the cielings all over the place aswell. Oh wait.
