I don't give that much attention to AF at all... so meh.

I have no beef with American football as a sport (I actually find it more interesting to watch than Rugby), I just don't think it should be called "football" given that there is already a sport which the rest of the world calls "football". Rugby has nothing to do with rugs, it is named after a town, afaik. Why don't you follow the example of fast food chains across America and rename your sport "Freedom Ball" or something.
Also, it'll be a cold cold day in hell before you'll get the entirety of Europe to start calling football "Soccer".

I learned awhile ago not to make topics about American football in these forums because all the Europeans get their panties in a bunch because football is one of the few good things they still have.
I mean if you live in a country like Belgium your football is really the only hope you have of ever beating any other country at anything.

A lot of NFL players actually play in the European league, so as to stay in shape during the off-season. Former Leicester Tigers England and British Lions captain Martin Johnson for retried at the age of 35 after a playing career lasting the best part of 20 years and he is by no means and exception.
As for the weights thing, I've had this discussion before on here. Rugby players are generally of a similar size to American Football players if not bigger. I cannot remember the exact conversion rate but I do know that the British Pound is heavier than the US. Rugby players in the forwards positions regularly hit around the 300 UK pounds mark (and that is solid muscle btw not fat) where as the wingers tend to be slightly less although there are exceptions for that as well like Jonah Lomu. Rugby players play the whole game as well unless they are substituted or blood/sin binned, unlike american football where they regularly take off the whole team and replace it with one geared towards defence or something.
P.S. There are two types of Rugby; League and Union. The latter is the older one and is more popular it is also the one that I'm referring to. League has slightly different rules and is a much faster game, there are next to no scrums the players tend to be smaller as well and much more agile.

'Soccer' as you call it or as everyone else in the world says football came because quite simply the aim of the game was to kick a ball with your foot. It's a very old game and originally hands were not allowed to be used by any member of the game. You would find pitches could be miles long too.

I'd love soccer a lot more than American football if it wasn't for my parents forcing me to do it when I was young, thus forcing me to hate it(I'm a tall/muscular kid, even when I was young, and got called "foul" a number of times I'd go to kick a goal and a kid, trying to block my foot[instead of the ball] got kicked. I was held back, every single game, purely because of strength. Oh, and sexism won out too- I held up a fist at a girl from her punching me in the stomach(of which everyone saw that), but I got called foul and was thrown out of the game for just holding up a fist. I wasn't even within 10 feet of her, and I wasn't moving towards her. GG sexism).

And Soccer is short for soccer football, or asscociation football. All 3 games evolved out of eachother, but I beleive soccer came first.
Anyway, I'd like to see international American Football competition, it'd be cool.
yes we do, in fact many unvisersities have rugby teams, and even my old high school had a rugby team as well.
It may not be a massive popular sport like American Football in the US but there are clubs and leuages everywhere.

Too little play?! Come to America, join a Football team, and then tell me there's too little play. People are always talkin jive about the stops in Football until they actually play a quarter of it. Sure, they stop for a little bit in between plays, but when you're going, you're going full-on or you're getting steamrolled.

Again with the European, we Asians are hardcore football fan too.
These players are stone-cold <i>mercenaries</i>. Right now, I can guarantee that no team could compete with an allstar American team. Hopefully football takes off and that changes, someday.
PS: There's a good reason why rugby players last three years until their bodies are shot for the rest of their lives. Football players are much bigger than rugby players. I can say with a fair deal of certainty that there are no rugby players who are 300 punds of solid muscle.
Plus, football is more fun to watch.

Most Rugby players last a lot longer than 3 years.....dunno where the hell you got that crazy idea from that their bodies are shot after that. Former Leicester Tigers England and British Lions captain Martin Johnson for retried at the age of 35 after a playing career lasting the best part of 20 years and he is by no means and exception.
As for the weights thing, I've had this discussion before on here. Rugby players are generally of a similar size to American Football players if not bigger. I cannot remember the exact conversion rate but I do know that the British Pound is heavier than the US. Rugby players in the forwards positions regularly hit around the 300 UK pounds mark (and that is solid muscle btw not fat) where as the wingers tend to be slightly less although there are exceptions for that as well like Jonah Lomu. Rugby players play the whole game as well unless they are substituted or blood/sin binned, unlike american football where they regularly take off the whole team and replace it with one geared towards defence or something.

P.S. There are two types of Rugby; League and Union. The latter is the older one and is more popular it is also the one that I'm referring to. League has slightly different rules and is a much faster game, there are next to no scrums the players tend to be smaller as well and much more agile.
Football was called soccer by the Americans to not confuse them with American football.
'Soccer' as you call it or as everyone else in the world says football came because quite simply the aim of the game was to kick a ball with your foot. It's a very old game and originally hands were not allowed to be used by any member of the game. You would find pitches could be miles long too.
Mixed Football for the lose. Girls can't play Football, they have rubbish foot eye coordination. You only had to watch the recent Womens European Championships to see that rofl.
