Trouble Making Blink Work

<div class="IPBDescription">Am I just doing it wrong, or what?</div> 9 times out of 10 blink doesn't do anything for me. I've tried pointing at walls, spots on the floor, near or far and it almost never works. Instead, I just see the fade's claws slashing, even though blink is selected. Is there some special circumstance needed to blink that I don't know about? And what about blinking through walls, is that supposed to happen?
