All these are nice and have pretty decent story backgrounds, but It seems most of them are just like the base unit, but with extra things like "more damage" or "more stealth." Maybe it's me, but I've heard of enough "trans-dimensional" crap from bad TV shows....but:
Name: Captian Orlan Occupation: Frontiersmen Strike Dropship Pilot Appearance: Tall, lanky male. Dark hair and eyes. Carries a half smirk with him.
Dropship Background: Most of the ships being retaken by Frontiersmen are merchant vessels. Large Corporations fund the Frontiersmen to try and regain the vessel. If it weren't for the large amount of money involved, the TSA would be more than happy to nuke the ship from the safety of their ship. The Dropship's main purpose is to link up with the infested vessel, establish a communication to the available nanites that aren't stuck in gridlock, and warp in a few Marines. The Beacon ability is similar to the initial warp in, a distress signal is sent to the Dropship which in turn warps in all reserves.
Captain Orlan's Background: Having seen his fair share of combat against both terrorist and the Kharaa, Orlan feels for his fellow mud brothers. He makes a habit of coming in with the initial team to establish the base. Orlan was choosen for the Frontiersmen Strike Dropship due to his enchanced sense of spatial reality and reflexes. His additional training as a Marine after his transfer turned him into a quick and deadly opponent if he is ever, but rarely, in combat.
Orlan's Equipment: Slot 1: Being a Pilot, Orlan can't handle bulky LMGs and SGs around. He carries his trusty PDW, a small 20 clip machine pistol. Although it has terrible range and accuracy, it serves him well as a faithful close-range armament.
Slot 2: Basic Frontiersmen Knife. His training as a Pilot and Marine grants him quicker reflexes. He is able to use the knife much faster than most of the other Marines.
Slot 3: Since most of the ship's Nanites are in gridlock while trying to kill all the bacterium, communication to the Dropship isn't easy. Orlan carries a Portable Communication Device. He uses it to relay messages to the Dropship which in turn controls a few nanite colonies. Equipped with this, Marine equipment functions better. It grants enhanced weapon operation, limited motion detection, and enhanced building functionality.
The Communication device is also able to send a Beacon. Orlan can only do this once, the power required to punch a message through drains the Communicator's batteries.
Orlan's Role: Orlan dislikes combat. He is often seen near the back trying to coordinate effective resource consumption. He is a heavy support character, capable of providing effective support for his team.

There have to be heroes in Natural Selection too...right? The T.S.A. has a lot of Frontiersmen and i am pretty sure some of them fought a lot of battles and gained veteran skills. The only explanation for this level of massive failure is direct exposure to an antimatter shunt. Unfortunately, we still have flesh and bone, which renders that impossible. They aren't even tanned.

Unfortunately, eyewitness accounts are all we have, aside from glancing half-moment pictures that would put classic 2100s Bigfoot photographers to shame. It's very large, and very mean.
The closest we've been able to piece together is that the Bacterium have developed a type of high-powered electromagnetic pulse. It's enough to completely disable standard nanite-generated munitions, as well as communications gear, armor, and other standard equipment. Worrying is that it also disables the nanite hives in a Marine, negating the trauma damping factor, and allowing bacterial infection on a major scale.
Most worrying is its propensity for nothing less than psychological warfare. The usual goodies of course; large claws, larger teeth, powerful legs... and a pair of very dextrous hands. The usual marker to early spotting of a Goebbels evolution is the disappearance of a team-member. Zero radio contact, but occasionally the vitals transponder will continue to operate. Reinsertion is the decision of the original team officer, or their subordinate if the officer is a casualty. Extermination of the J22-Z must be CONFIRMED, along with destruction of any Hives and full antibacterial sweeps before the installation may enter a 'cool zone' quarantine of 200km.
Lemme get this straight, the Kharaa have found a way to disable nanite systems, allowing Bacterium to flood into the body of Marine, therefore putting him through a slow and torturous process which eventually leaves him as a horribly disfigured human controlled by the Hivemind?
Is this "thing" supposed to attack, or more for the pyschological effects it can have on seeing such a monstrous beast?

Slot1: Field Replicator/Maintainance Kit - Her favorite tool to use in the field, Sarah often sneaks or simply cuts her way behind enemy lines and constructs various "Rube Goldberg" devices to aid the TSA or slow the advance of the enemy. Reverting to 21st century technology, Sarah has used her Field Replicator and Maintainance kit to construct various, unique forms of turrets, modify existing structures, repair or resupply weapons and armor, and she has even performed field upgrades, bringing older models of TSA armor up to current specs. Slot2: 8 shot .357 - Sarah's great great grandfather, Jesse James, brought guns into the family line. Since then they haven't left, and this powerful 8 shot .357 Magnum is no exception. Taught by her grandfather and then her father at the age of eight in the use of this antiquated device, she has kept it with her at all times and now has become quite proficient at it's use. The shells are hard to come by, but she has made a fairly large cache over the years. She carries 2 quickloaders with it, and, being more powerful than a standard .45 cal pistol, this weapon has saved her a few times in the field.
Slot3: Daishou- Sarah's personal Katana and Wazikashi replaces the standard issue combat knife. Extrememly sharp and very strong, these two weapons are easily more powerful than your average knife. The Katana, at nearly 5 feet in leangth, is capable of cutting thru a 3 inch sapling with a single blow. The Wazikashi, at 3 feet in leangth, is not as powerful due to the lighter blade, but can still cleanly behead an attacking skulk. Both are made of 200 folded TI-362 Steel, which is extremely strong. The 200 folds result in a large sheet becoming denser and denser, and each fold acts as a spring to absorb lateral forces, rending the blades near unbreakable. Technology has enabled her to sharpen this blade to a micro-fine edge.
Slot4: Hand to Hand - If all else fails, Sarah is an adept fighter. Her martial arts training far exceeds the basic self defense training given to the average soldier, and she has shown this on a few occasions. She is fully capable of catching an oncoming offense chamber spike, though if there is more than one it becomes progressively difficult. She can also boost herself up to ledges that are normally beyond reach.
Story: Sarah heard of the TSA / Kharrah war at the age of 5 when her father was called upon to join the ranks of the TSA. At the age of 6 she enroled in three different Dojo's and quickly established herself as a capable fighter. At the age of 10 she recieved her first black belt in Ju-Jitsu, and by 12 she was already a 6th degree. Around that time she discovered a love of mechanics and technology, pursuing it well into high school. When she joined the TSA, she had already built her own variation of the TSA Siege Turret, and it is rumored that hers out performed it in nearly every way. Today was just great. It went from bad to worse! Not only did we have to board the damn station to try to reclaim it's datacores, but the Kharaa ALREADY had a f***ing hive up! What was worse was the call to retreat! I had been toying around in base since we had these two fades that liked to bugger with it... my new turret got em real scared!
I call it the Stoner, after the origional weapon. Made in the late 20th century, and used by what were called SEALS, this weapon fired a cloud of small dagger or needle like projectiles instead of bullets, roughly 200 to a shot.

Spent 2 months training at TSA headquarters in the Yamova System before being transferred to the 142nd Marines, B Company, as an infiltration specialist. Produced stellar results and remarkable discipline belying his former criminal status. Private Jorgen gained division-wide recognition for his critical participation in the Omega Tarsis Raid.
(Omega Tarsis Raid - TSA intelligence discovered illegal gene manipulation research at a Garland Corporation facility in the Omega Tarsis asteroid cluster. The 142nd's B Company was dispatched to arrest the researchers and shut down the facility. Unfortunately, due to faulty intelligence B company did not realize that they faced 2 full brigades of Garland corporation mercenaries. 4 B Company team members were killed in action. The rest of the company was captured and held prisoner, with the exception of Private Jorgen. Jorgen infiltrated the facility and was able to insert himself into the executive office. The private proceeded to capture the facility manager, forcing him to order the mercenaries to stand down and send a surrender transmission to TSA command. Shortly thereafter a full TSA brigade arrived and secured the facility. Private Jorgen was decorated with the Antarian Star for his bravery and summarily promoted to the rank of Major.)
Soon after the raid, Major Jorgen was transferred to the 13th Experimental Munitions Squadron, a team formed to test and implement new anti-Kharaa experimental technology before said technologies are deemed worthy of mass production. X-G17 "Piranha" Flechette Gun:
Kharaa organic armor (carapace) is successfully resisting standard bullet penetration. Often marines are required to pump entire cartridges of bullets into a fade before successfully killing it. This has led to the development of the "Piranha", a portable rapid-fire delivery system that uses explosive flechette rounds made of a titanium alloy rather than bullets. These flechettes are thin, sharp, and fired at high velocities (and in large numbers) by the Piranha. They pierce through alien carapaces, lodging deep into critical organs before exploding, causing massive internal trauma. 13th Experimental Squadron operations are classified, but field tests show that the X-G17 Piranha is capable of killing an Onos in as fast as 9 seconds.
X-B2 Helmet Sensor Package:
This helmet is equipped with all manner of sensitive sensor systems, including a heat sensor, a heartbeat sensor, a motion-tracking sensor, and a air-vibration sensor. Jorgen's special reconnaisance missions make use of these sensors to provide a full tactical view of his surroundings.
X-B7 Stealth Utility Boots and Gloves:
These boots and gloves are coated with a special substance on their bottoms to muffle the clanking sound made by TSA-issue field clothing. In addition, this experimental footwear and glove combination can emit extremely short-range antigravity pulses, allowing Jorgen to crawl up and down ceilings and walls like a slow skulk.
X-C24 Thermoptic Camouflage:
This device is still in experimental stages. It provides Jorgen with the ability to camouflage himself and reduce his body heat in a manner similar to Alien Cloaking. Unfortunately this device is still not up to Kharaa cloaking standards and should not be relied upon in bright places.

Not only is she incredibly strong and adept at combat, but she also seems to know a helluva lot about things such as human physiology, mechanical engineering, and gravitational physics...either education in the future is ungodly perfect, or she is a total freak, I don't see how someone could not only become a Frontiersman, but also able design the Catalyst pack, and to create the Siege Cannon better than teams of TSA scientists.
This is a good idea. Ever since 2.0, the end games have been fast and Heavies and Onoses have been common to see compared to 1.0x - there was always that feeling of "OH S***!" when you saw an Onos in 1.0x, or when you saw a heavy train closing on the Hive. Heroes could add that feeling back into the game, and make very rare appearances. Perhaps the TSA could say "Hmm, we should send this badass to finish the job, they've gotten stalled," or the Hive network could think "Almost clean. Maybe we should transfer the consciousness of <insert alien here> to this infestation? It has the resources..." Anyways, my guy would DEFINITELY have to be one of the "game ender" heroes. When I say game-ender, I mean that aliens would F4 when they see 'im.

After living as a sort of galactic drifter relying on odd (and often criminal) jobs to survive and gain transport to the next system for the bulk of his teen years, at 22 Sagan finally settled down in the Mongol Belt, on the edge of the Ariadne Arm. He started a shipping company with nothing but a little money and vast knowledge of the expoitable secrets, locations, clandestine groups, and major players in the business. He also had more contacts than any of his competitors; he had worked for and attained good standing with almost every shipping company on his travels. This knowledge would also help him later in the struggle against the Kharaa; he knew the ship designs, secrets, operating systems, and even which contractors had older, exploitable nanite programs that he could hack - though he would not be manifesting food or alcohol any longer, but weapons and ammunition.
Unfortunately, the Kharaa had come to the Ariadne Arm not a month earlier, and were already taking outposts and ships across the sector while a confused and disorganized group of human militaries and corporate paramilitary groups stumbled over inaccurate and exagerrated intelligence, cumbersome legislation and borders, and a deep distrust of one another. Sagan was sure his new company would survive (and maybe, just maybe, buy back his father's holdings on Earth). He armed his crews with the latest weaponry he could get his hands on, breaking several Universal Standard laws and at least 20 Spacers' Union regulations. Less than a week later, his flagship freighter was infested by the Kharaa.
As per Spacers' Union regs, it was set to return to the nearest habitable planet in the event of a critical failure. It began its journey back to a small, rich, mining world with a breathable atmosphere and a human population of half a billion souls. With no time to call for help or organize a response, he took his (stolen) personal corvette, and checked for any <i>human</i> signs of life aboard the freighter. When he was positive not a single crewman was left alive, Sagan strafed the vessel repeatedly with highly-illegal X-ray pulse lasers, rending and burning his last hope for reclaiming his home apart and alerting all the applicable authorities in the system to his actions. His crimes would certainly be punished by death. However, the newly arrived Trans-System Authority noticed his actions, and not only commended him for his bravery and willingness to sacrifice his life in the face of impending calamity, but pardoned his hundreds of offenses in the name of every involved party (of course, no one there could really contest the TSA without solid evidence). Then they erased all records of his existance - ever - and conscripted him into their Discretionary Ops division, the fabled Kharaa-killers that weren't supposed to exist.
He didn't try to resist. He'd always had a detached sense of duty to the species, ever since he had seen the magnificent utopia and technological marvels of Terra as a child. Living as a rouge in his teen years taught him to adapt and survive. And now his sense of duty was not only some vague notion collecting dust in the back of his mind, but a personal vendetta against the Kharaa that struck down his first attempts to reclaim what was, when all was said and done, his identity. Saving innumerable human lives was an afterthought, a side benefit. He spent a year either fighting the first skirmishes with the Kharaa (and racking up an impressive kill record and list of commendations) or training intensely, both in live-fire and simulated exercises. Hard work and almost inhuman dedication elevated him to a state that would've taken most men a decade to attain. Sagan had effectively become a veteran in less time than it takes for the Earth to revolve around Sol. When the TSA labs hidden in a galactic fringe dust cloud no one really knows the name of rolled out the new armor, Sagan and his "non-existant" comrades had a field day (literally).
Their exosuits were incredibly advanced - even moreso than the widely envied UTSS "Paladin" Mk. II, made up of more complex parts than can be described here. They could take more punishment than a suit of Frontiersmen heavy armor, and they granted the operators incredible strength and speed using a complex artificial musculature made up of compact hydraulics and nigh-unbreakable monofilament bundles of wire, serving as muscle fibers. Sealed against a vacuum, these suits also had EM boots that could be used not only for EVA on the hull of a space vessel but in some cases to walk on the metal walls and ceilings of spacestations, with a bit of practice. In addition, the armor could actually redistribute itself in combat to absorb <i>all</i> damage it took until it reached critical damage. Nothing could get through until the suit had already been shredded. This unique armor could absorb passive command network nanites to slowly repair itself. The downside was that it was extremely expensive, practically impossible to manifest using the nanotech resources available during most Frontiersmen deployments, and if the Trans-Govs found out about its production and use, they would undoubtedly find it unecessary, cite some TSA victories for emphasis, and declare it an act concurrent with intentions to attack one of the Trans-Gov powers.
Before the suits could be issued, the Kharaa infiltrated the Discretionary Ops command dropship using a new lifeform never before encountered <b><yes, I will eventually post it></b>, one capable of actually fooling the command network into believing it had permission and access to all systems. It jettisoned most of the Discretionary Ops soldiers while they were in cold sleep, instructed the maintenance bots to slag all of their exosuits (except Sagan's; he had just been promoted to Captain and had his stowed in a locker accessable only to himself), and slaughtered much of the ship's crew, who had never seen combat and in some cases never even trained for it. Sagan, the last man awake and alive (and without his exosuit) dismembered the xenoform and grievously wounded it before it could escape. In doing so, he suffered serious nerve damage <b><this also goes in the other bio></b> and lost both of his legs and his left arm. The last thing he did before falling unconscious was cancel the jettisoning of the remaining fifth of the soldiers and awaken them. Another half of the survivors were eliminated over the course of the journey to the Inner Front by the new lifeform's meticulous sabotaging of seemingly random ship systems.
Now sealed inside his highly modified exosuit as a full cyborg, Sagan remains much the same person. He claims that his transformation has only strengthened him, physically and psychologically. Illegal self-replicating nanites thrive in his nervous system, reparing damage to remaining parts of his body and granting him unnaturally quick reflexes. Physically, he's never been more machine. Mentally, he's never been more human, a sworn defender of the species. His hidden desire for bloody revenge is not only fueled by the deaths of his comrades, but the loss of his own life. An interesting story. But man those stats are just RIDICULOUS. The guy heals himself as fast as an alien, fires a SHOTGUN 3 times as fast....call me crazy but I don't think that experimental TSA technology is quite THAT good.
Well, I only even posted here because I got in the spirit after reading the old manual, the one that laid down the backstory before the 2.0 players arrived. It basically said that the TSA was persecuted by pretty much every human power that mattered, and its existence was only temporarily tolerated thanks to the Kharaa invasion. The manual also said that the Frontiersmens' only advantage was personal phase technology. Otherwise, the Trans-Gov militaries had far superior equipment. By 23xx, and with the knowledge that the other guys already have way better armor, it didn't take me a big leap of faith to write this.
Also, note that I said it was a positive game-ending unit.

And no, it isn't the classic 'infected marine' tripe. Goebbels simply uses an organically-generated directed EMP to knock out a Marine's systems and render their armor and weaponry inactive. Imagine a shark's tiny electric 'ping', or an electric eel's shock, but on a full-organism cellular level.
After which, it's a sadistic bastard to the nearly-helpless Marine, using the screams as bait to lower morale and lure the rest of the Marines into ambushes and occasional traps. Name: Captian Orlan
Occupation: Frontiersmen Strike Dropship Pilot
Appearance: Tall, lanky male. Dark hair and eyes. Carries a half smirk with him.
Dropship Background:
Most of the ships being retaken by Frontiersmen are merchant vessels. Large Corporations fund the Frontiersmen to try and regain the vessel. If it weren't for the large amount of money involved, the TSA would be more than happy to nuke the ship from the safety of their ship. The Dropship's main purpose is to link up with the infested vessel, establish a communication to the available nanites that aren't stuck in gridlock, and warp in a few Marines. The Beacon ability is similar to the initial warp in, a distress signal is sent to the Dropship which in turn warps in all reserves.
Captain Orlan's Background:
Having seen his fair share of combat against both terrorist and the Kharaa, Orlan feels for his fellow mud brothers. He makes a habit of coming in with the initial team to establish the base. Orlan was choosen for the Frontiersmen Strike Dropship due to his enchanced sense of spatial reality and reflexes. His additional training as a Marine after his transfer turned him into a quick and deadly opponent if he is ever, but rarely, in combat.
Orlan's Equipment:
Slot 1: Being a Pilot, Orlan can't handle bulky LMGs and SGs around. He carries his trusty PDW, a small 20 clip machine pistol. Although it has terrible range and accuracy, it serves him well as a faithful close-range armament.
Slot 2: Basic Frontiersmen Knife. His training as a Pilot and Marine grants him quicker reflexes. He is able to use the knife much faster than most of the other Marines.
Slot 3: Since most of the ship's Nanites are in gridlock while trying to kill all the bacterium, communication to the Dropship isn't easy. Orlan carries a Portable Communication Device. He uses it to relay messages to the Dropship which in turn controls a few nanite colonies. Equipped with this, Marine equipment functions better. It grants enhanced weapon operation, limited motion detection, and enhanced building functionality.
The Communication device is also able to send a Beacon. Orlan can only do this once, the power required to punch a message through drains the Communicator's batteries.
Orlan's Role:
Orlan dislikes combat. He is often seen near the back trying to coordinate effective resource consumption. He is a heavy support character, capable of providing effective support for his team.
Equipment: Fully automatic assualt rifles with night vision and laser scopes, phosphorous grenades, cluster bombs, and he recently acquired Fragmantation mines.

There have to be heroes in Natural Selection too...right?
The T.S.A. has a lot of Frontiersmen and i am pretty sure some of them fought a lot of battles and gained veteran skills. So they have their own stories and skills, customized weapons and a lot more.
Meanwhile the Khaara Forces have heroes too...even though they do not occur as such. Meaning that some aliens survived even massive bombardements, evolved new mutations or gained an advanced Hivemind.
The Idea is: Create your own Natural Selection Hero.

---Severe lacerations of the upper radius and ulna, with thin scoring penetrating to the marrow. Evidence of minor bacterial infection, site irradiated before arrival.
Cause of death appears to be several large aggravated puncture wounds, with evidence of lateral trauma. Lesser laceration noted along the ventral surfaces. Digits have suffered massive torsion and pressure trauma, as well as hyperextension. Cranium appears intact.
Most interesting about this and the other three casualties of <span style='color:red'>*DELETED FOR SECURITY PURPOSES*</span> is that the equipment delivered with each of the cadavers appears nonfunctional, and upon analysis by the quartermaster, seems to have been fused.
Blood samples confirm this upon inspection, all nanites and nanite hives are nonfunctional and have been rendered into, for lack of a better term, slag.
The only explanation for this level of massive failure is direct exposure to an antimatter shunt. Unfortunately, we still have flesh and bone, which renders that impossible. They aren't even tanned.
Full autopsy is scheduled for June the twenty-fourth.
The three surviving members of Group 523, Squad Five, aka Charlie's Angels, are currently being held for psychological treatment and emergency detoxification, as well as minor medical attention for similar trauma wounds.

Unfortunately, eyewitness accounts are all we have, aside from glancing half-moment pictures that would put classic 2100s Bigfoot photographers to shame. It's very large, and very mean.
The closest we've been able to piece together is that the Bacterium have developed a type of high-powered electromagnetic pulse. It's enough to completely disable standard nanite-generated munitions, as well as communications gear, armor, and other standard equipment. Worrying is that it also disables the nanite hives in a Marine, negating the trauma damping factor, and allowing bacterial infection on a major scale.
Most worrying is its propensity for nothing less than psychological warfare. The usual goodies of course; large claws, larger teeth, powerful legs... and a pair of very dextrous hands.
The usual marker to early spotting of a Goebbels evolution is the disappearance of a team-member. Zero radio contact, but occasionally the vitals transponder will continue to operate.
The true marker is when the screaming starts. Apparently, the Goebbels will render its captive immobile, whereupon it will begin with a slow, through regimen of torture. The best option at this time is to evacuate all available personnel <b>immediately</b>. Rescue attempts are met with ambushes by lower-level Kharaa, and in one instance, a deadfall trap.
Due to the obvious high threat posed by this particular evolution, any intallation exhibiting an instance is to immediately be quarantined with a two light-second no-travel zone. Breach of the no-travel will result in immediate destruction of the offending vessel. Alternately, if the resource is deemed expendible, or the zone is too close to a major route, the installation may be razed, in accordance with section 109.b of the charter, and following the method listed in document 0012.057.000B.
Reinsertion is the decision of the original team officer, or their subordinate if the officer is a casualty. Extermination of the J22-Z must be CONFIRMED, along with destruction of any Hives and full antibacterial sweeps before the installation may enter a 'cool zone' quarantine of 200km.

Slot1: Field Replicator/Maintainance Kit - Her favorite tool to use in the field, Sarah often sneaks or simply cuts her way behind enemy lines and constructs various "Rube Goldberg" devices to aid the TSA or slow the advance of the enemy. Reverting to 21st century technology, Sarah has used her Field Replicator and Maintainance kit to construct various, unique forms of turrets, modify existing structures, repair or resupply weapons and armor, and she has even performed field upgrades, bringing older models of TSA armor up to current specs. Slot2: 8 shot .357 - Sarah's great great grandfather, Jesse James, brought guns into the family line. Since then they haven't left, and this powerful 8 shot .357 Magnum is no exception. Taught by her grandfather and then her father at the age of eight in the use of this antiquated device, she has kept it with her at all times and now has become quite proficient at it's use. The shells are hard to come by, but she has made a fairly large cache over the years. She carries 2 quickloaders with it, and, being more powerful than a standard .45 cal pistol, this weapon has saved her a few times in the field.
Slot3: Daishou- Sarah's personal Katana and Wazikashi replaces the standard issue combat knife. Extrememly sharp and very strong, these two weapons are easily more powerful than your average knife. The Katana, at nearly 5 feet in leangth, is capable of cutting thru a 3 inch sapling with a single blow. The Wazikashi, at 3 feet in leangth, is not as powerful due to the lighter blade, but can still cleanly behead an attacking skulk. Both are made of 200 folded TI-362 Steel, which is extremely strong. The 200 folds result in a large sheet becoming denser and denser, and each fold acts as a spring to absorb lateral forces, rending the blades near unbreakable. Technology has enabled her to sharpen this blade to a micro-fine edge.
Slot4: Hand to Hand - If all else fails, Sarah is an adept fighter. Her martial arts training far exceeds the basic self defense training given to the average soldier, and she has shown this on a few occasions. She is fully capable of catching an oncoming offense chamber spike, though if there is more than one it becomes progressively difficult. She can also boost herself up to ledges that are normally beyond reach.
Story: Sarah heard of the TSA / Kharrah war at the age of 5 when her father was called upon to join the ranks of the TSA. At the age of 6 she enroled in three different Dojo's and quickly established herself as a capable fighter. At the age of 10 she recieved her first black belt in Ju-Jitsu, and by 12 she was already a 6th degree. Around that time she discovered a love of mechanics and technology, pursuing it well into high school. When she joined the TSA, she had already built her own variation of the TSA Siege Turret, and it is rumored that hers out performed it in nearly every way. Between her martial-arts honed discipline, her technical knowledge, shooting prowess, and her sheer streangth, she quickly rose to the rank of Lt. Cmdr. She was assigned as a Chief Engineer to the 101st Frontiersmen division, and has fought battles in many key installations, including Nancy, Hera, and Eclipse.

Today was just great. It went from bad to worse! Not only did we have to board the damn station to try to reclaim it's datacores, but the Kharaa ALREADY had a f***ing hive up! What was worse was the call to retreat! I had been toying around in base since we had these two fades that liked to bugger with it... my new turret got em real scared!
I call it the Stoner, after the origional weapon. Made in the late 20th century, and used by what were called SEALS, this weapon fired a cloud of small dagger or needle like projectiles instead of bullets, roughly 200 to a shot.

Estimated to have stolen a remarkable 273 million New Berlin Marks during his illegal career. Arrested at the age of 19 and charged with the theft of valuables worth 1.4 million NBM from the home of colony councilwoman Anay Shiistu.
Spent 2 years in Einsamkeit maximum security prison before being asked to join the then-unborn TSA during the early stage of the TSA recruitment drive. Given military authority with the rank of Private in the TSA in exchange for his freedom. In return, Private Jorgen was to provide his remakarkable stealth capabilities in the field.

Spent 2 months training at TSA headquarters in the Yamova System before being transferred to the 142nd Marines, B Company, as an infiltration specialist. Produced stellar results and remarkable discipline belying his former criminal status. Private Jorgen gained division-wide recognition for his critical participation in the Omega Tarsis Raid.
(Omega Tarsis Raid - TSA intelligence discovered illegal gene manipulation research at a Garland Corporation facility in the Omega Tarsis asteroid cluster. The 142nd's B Company was dispatched to arrest the researchers and shut down the facility. Unfortunately, due to faulty intelligence B company did not realize that they faced 2 full brigades of Garland corporation mercenaries. 4 B Company team members were killed in action. The rest of the company was captured and held prisoner, with the exception of Private Jorgen. Jorgen infiltrated the facility and was able to insert himself into the executive office. The private proceeded to capture the facility manager, forcing him to order the mercenaries to stand down and send a surrender transmission to TSA command. Shortly thereafter a full TSA brigade arrived and secured the facility. Private Jorgen was decorated with the Antarian Star for his bravery and summarily promoted to the rank of Major.)
Soon after the raid, Major Jorgen was transferred to the 13th Experimental Munitions Squadron, a team formed to test and implement new anti-Kharaa experimental technology before said technologies are deemed worthy of mass production. Major Jorgen's operations with the 13th Experimentals are classified level C5 and are not attached to this biographical document.

X-G17 "Piranha" Flechette Gun:
Kharaa organic armor (carapace) is successfully resisting standard bullet penetration. Often marines are required to pump entire cartridges of bullets into a fade before successfully killing it. This has led to the development of the "Piranha", a portable rapid-fire delivery system that uses explosive flechette rounds made of a titanium alloy rather than bullets. These flechettes are thin, sharp, and fired at high velocities (and in large numbers) by the Piranha. They pierce through alien carapaces, lodging deep into critical organs before exploding, causing massive internal trauma. 13th Experimental Squadron operations are classified, but field tests show that the X-G17 Piranha is capable of killing an Onos in as fast as 9 seconds.
X-B2 Helmet Sensor Package:
This helmet is equipped with all manner of sensitive sensor systems, including a heat sensor, a heartbeat sensor, a motion-tracking sensor, and a air-vibration sensor. Jorgen's special reconnaisance missions make use of these sensors to provide a full tactical view of his surroundings.
X-B7 Stealth Utility Boots and Gloves:
These boots and gloves are coated with a special substance on their bottoms to muffle the clanking sound made by TSA-issue field clothing. In addition, this experimental footwear and glove combination can emit extremely short-range antigravity pulses, allowing Jorgen to crawl up and down ceilings and walls like a slow skulk.
X-C24 Thermoptic Camouflage:
This device is still in experimental stages. It provides Jorgen with the ability to camouflage himself and reduce his body heat in a manner similar to Alien Cloaking. Unfortunately this device is still not up to Kharaa cloaking standards and should not be relied upon in bright places.

Not only is she incredibly strong and adept at combat, but she also seems to know a helluva lot about things such as human physiology, mechanical engineering, and gravitational physics...either education in the future is ungodly perfect, or she is a total freak, I don't see how someone could not only become a Frontiersman, but also able design the Catalyst pack, and to create the Siege Cannon better than teams of TSA scientists.
Oh, and this will never get added. This is like having a maxed out WC3 hero, but I like writing so whatever.

<u>Origin</u>: Born on Terra itself in a territory formerly known as Latvia, Sagan was forced to leave the planet at an early age when his father died of natural causes and left the family with unpayable debts on a planet where only the rich can afford to live. After living as a sort of galactic drifter relying on odd (and often criminal) jobs to survive and gain transport to the next system for the bulk of his teen years, at 22 Sagan finally settled down in the Mongol Belt, on the edge of the Ariadne Arm. He started a shipping company with nothing but a little money and vast knowledge of the expoitable secrets, locations, clandestine groups, and major players in the business. He also had more contacts than any of his competitors; he had worked for and attained good standing with almost every shipping company on his travels. This knowledge would also help him later in the struggle against the Kharaa; he knew the ship designs, secrets, operating systems, and even which contractors had older, exploitable nanite programs that he could hack - though he would not be manifesting food or alcohol any longer, but weapons and ammunition.
Unfortunately, the Kharaa had come to the Ariadne Arm not a month earlier, and were already taking outposts and ships across the sector while a confused and disorganized group of human militaries and corporate paramilitary groups stumbled over inaccurate and exagerrated intelligence, cumbersome legislation and borders, and a deep distrust of one another. Sagan was sure his new company would survive (and maybe, just maybe, buy back his father's holdings on Earth). He armed his crews with the latest weaponry he could get his hands on, breaking several Universal Standard laws and at least 20 Spacers' Union regulations. Less than a week later, his flagship freighter was infested by the Kharaa.
As per Spacers' Union regs, it was set to return to the nearest habitable planet in the event of a critical failure. It began its journey back to a small, rich, mining world with a breathable atmosphere and a human population of half a billion souls. With no time to call for help or organize a response, he took his (stolen) personal corvette, and checked for any <i>human</i> signs of life aboard the freighter. When he was positive not a single crewman was left alive, Sagan strafed the vessel repeatedly with highly-illegal X-ray pulse lasers, rending and burning his last hope for reclaiming his home apart and alerting all the applicable authorities in the system to his actions. His crimes would certainly be punished by death. However, the newly arrived Trans-System Authority noticed his actions, and not only commended him for his bravery and willingness to sacrifice his life in the face of impending calamity, but pardoned his hundreds of offenses in the name of every involved party (of course, no one there could really contest the TSA without solid evidence). Then they erased all records of his existance - ever - and conscripted him into their Discretionary Ops division, the fabled Kharaa-killers that weren't supposed to exist.
He didn't try to resist. He'd always had a detached sense of duty to the species, ever since he had seen the magnificent utopia and technological marvels of Terra as a child. Living as a rouge in his teen years taught him to adapt and survive. And now his sense of duty was not only some vague notion collecting dust in the back of his mind, but a personal vendetta against the Kharaa that struck down his first attempts to reclaim what was, when all was said and done, his identity. Saving innumerable human lives was an afterthought, a side benefit. He spent a year either fighting the first skirmishes with the Kharaa (and racking up an impressive kill record and list of commendations) or training intensely, both in live-fire and simulated exercises. Hard work and almost inhuman dedication elevated him to a state that would've taken most men a decade to attain. Sagan had effectively become a veteran in less time than it takes for the Earth to revolve around Sol. When the TSA labs hidden in a galactic fringe dust cloud no one really knows the name of rolled out the new armor, Sagan and his "non-existant" comrades had a field day (literally).
Their exosuits were incredibly advanced - even moreso than the widely envied UTSS "Paladin" Mk. II, made up of more complex parts than can be described here. They could take more punishment than a suit of Frontiersmen heavy armor, and they granted the operators incredible strength and speed using a complex artificial musculature made up of compact hydraulics and nigh-unbreakable monofilament bundles of wire, serving as muscle fibers. Sealed against a vacuum, these suits also had EM boots that could be used not only for EVA on the hull of a space vessel but in some cases to walk on the metal walls and ceilings of spacestations, with a bit of practice. In addition, the armor could actually redistribute itself in combat to absorb <i>all</i> damage it took until it reached critical damage. Nothing could get through until the suit had already been shredded. This unique armor could absorb passive command network nanites to slowly repair itself. The downside was that it was extremely expensive, practically impossible to manifest using the nanotech resources available during most Frontiersmen deployments, and if the Trans-Govs found out about its production and use, they would undoubtedly find it unecessary, cite some TSA victories for emphasis, and declare it an act concurrent with intentions to attack one of the Trans-Gov powers.
Before the suits could be issued, the Kharaa infiltrated the Discretionary Ops command dropship using a new lifeform never before encountered <b><yes, I will eventually post it></b>, one capable of actually fooling the command network into believing it had permission and access to all systems. It jettisoned most of the Discretionary Ops soldiers while they were in cold sleep, instructed the maintenance bots to slag all of their exosuits (except Sagan's; he had just been promoted to Captain and had his stowed in a locker accessable only to himself), and slaughtered much of the ship's crew, who had never seen combat and in some cases never even trained for it. Sagan, the last man awake and alive (and without his exosuit) dismembered the xenoform and grievously wounded it before it could escape. In doing so, he suffered serious nerve damage <b><this also goes in the other bio></b> and lost both of his legs and his left arm. The last thing he did before falling unconscious was cancel the jettisoning of the remaining fifth of the soldiers and awaken them. Another half of the survivors were eliminated over the course of the journey to the Inner Front by the new lifeform's meticulous sabotaging of seemingly random ship systems.
Now sealed inside his highly modified exosuit as a full cyborg, Sagan remains much the same person. He claims that his transformation has only strengthened him, physically and psychologically. Illegal self-replicating nanites thrive in his nervous system, reparing damage to remaining parts of his body and granting him unnaturally quick reflexes. Physically, he's never been more machine. Mentally, he's never been more human, a sworn defender of the species. His hidden desire for bloody revenge is not only fueled by the deaths of his comrades, but the loss of his own life. And no, it isn't the classic 'infected marine' tripe. Goebbels simply uses an organically-generated directed EMP to knock out a Marine's systems and render their armor and weaponry inactive. Imagine a shark's tiny electric 'ping', or an electric eel's shock, but on a full-organism cellular level.
After which, it's a sadistic bastard to the nearly-helpless Marine, using the screams as bait to lower morale and lure the rest of the Marines into ambushes and occasional traps.
