<div class="IPBDescription">Please please please omg I <3 u</div> This are the stuff I have and are using for my NS gaming.
My video card is - NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400
Yeah, it's old.
I am currently using Cable as my Internet Connection.
My FPS never gets higher than 65 and can drop down to 30 on most maps. I have set my FPS_MAX to 100 but that doesn't do anything to help me. I need to know the best settings to get the best FPS results on my bloody computer. Please help.

30fps is the standard that most games will adjust their settings to hit. It is NOT a bad frame rate to have.
I have 2 GeForce 6600GT Gamer's Edition cards, in the SLi formation, and my FPS locks at 60.
My cards will hit something like 30 times the 3d05 marks that your one will, yet they maintain a constant 60fps.
Don't worry about this, just worry if your frame rate drops below 20.
If you really want to get more FPS, then keep your drivers up to date, and close down any extraneous programs, then start the game.
That being said at least for Patch i know HL dosen't like high fps, i don't know if its a setting or something, but mine never tops 65. It actually hovers around 64.8 most of the time.....
Though if you want more fps, try lower resolutions, and make sure AA and AF are turned off in your video card drivers.
It's beacuse my monitor is the only part of MY which hasn't been upgraded multiple times, it can only handle 1280x1024 at a poorly 60Hz, which bothers me not in the least.
I might get a new one when this one finally chokes on me, but it's been thrashed about for a good 3 years, with not a single flicker.
Old CRT technology FTW!
Everyone with FPS quibbles, 27fps is a realistic minimum playable rate, anything less, then turn down the resolution, lost any filtering settings, and you'll soon have a properly playable frame rate.
