Let me rephrase my question, Mr. Pedantic. What is it about the aforementioned "Texas Toast" that makes it different from what the rest of the world calls "Toast"? Is it merely because it is made from the finest bread made in Texas? Or is there some sort of extra ingredient or sauce or other foodstuff that makes "Texas Toast" so awesome? <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
2 or 3 times the normal thickness, it won't even fit in most toasters....

But it is impressive, err, at least for a slice of bread....

Then again thats just what ive seen in loaf form, i believe its also a grilled french toastesque thing involving cheese and pepper.

Texas Toast is a buttered slice of extar large toast, same height but approximately twice as wide as a standard slice and perhaps 2.5 to 3 times as thick, often served in southern bbq joints.

How do you force a man to eat a sandwich.

You know what? Some things are better left as a mystery.

Mine that I make at home usually have:

    Muenster Cheese
    Ham (Blackforest or normal)
    Mayonnaise

    Or whatever else is there.

    At safeway, however, I get:

    Onion Foccacia
    Avacado Spread
    Garlic Spread
    Bacon
    Roast Beef
Smoked Cheese of some sort (I can't recall the name)
    Lettuce
    Tomato

Then I have them toast it. I got one, and told all of my friends that nobody could have a bite, a little bit, or the kill. When I wasn't looking, one took a bite and I punched him as hard as I could in the ribs. I would kill for one.

I have a few standard samiches:

    1) Good Bread (like a Semolina roll)
    Good Ham
    Good Turky
    Provalone
    Ltc, Tom, Must, Mayo
    Potato Chips

    2) Good Wrap
    Turky
    Bacon
    Shreded cheese (blended)
    ltc, tom, mayo

3)Bananas PeanutButter and chocolate (be it nutella or melted chips) on a wrap

    4) The standard Dagwood
aka, hrmm, wth DO I have in the fridge?
Mayo? Wasabi... mmmm, that could be tasty (and it is!)
Chips (or crisps for you other people) are so the win!
    Leftovers....
Any vegies outside of ltc and tom need to be cooked first!

    yah <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Its little bits of onion and pickle n stuff in a sort of vaguely fruity spicey but not too strong sauce.

Salad cream is sweet creamy...sauce. Like thin mayo with more flavour.
