Fix For Aliens Joining Marines And Recycling

<div class="IPBDescription">Read this Flayra, someone</div> NS is a round based game, big rounds, but rounds none the less, if a player joins the marines, deny his right to get in the commander chair for the rest of that round. It's the only way. This isn't at the beginning of the game, only from players that go from alien to human in the middle of a game. Also maybe you could have some kind of detection, if a commander recycles more than 5 things and gets out less than 30 seconds later, ban him. Or something along those lines...

Umm, yea, Our Commander drops in the middle of the game and the rest cant enter because they joined in the middle.

    Spiffy solution.

Let's be realistic, there will be 1 or 2 people that have played on the marines the entire game...that situation is highly unlikely, and I would rather have that happen once ever, than repeatedly have this other situation happen.

I have never seen this happen, and if it happens i dont think that only players who where with the marines from the beginning should be able to enter the commanderchair. What if there are no players in the marine theam from the begining of the round? Then the marines would be without a commander.

Unfortinantley i think its hard to prevent this kind of lameness, as most of the solutions would have more negative effects than positive.

But the fact remains that it is more than possible for the commander to drop out and leave only "halfway-joiners" in his place. Regardless of how improbable it is, it could still happen, and screw the marines up badly.

The fact of the matter is that a-holes will be a-holes. There's no bonafide way of getting rid of them without affecting the game somewhat. Thus, the only way I can think of is proper moderating and adminship on your servers if it bothers you too much.

Oh there's a way, vote kick/vote ban. Just gotta get some voting mods on more servers...
