<div class="IPBDescription">this one is a tuff nut to crack</div> Yeah, I haven't been able to disable mouse accel when playing NS <b>no matter what i try</b>... Specs as follows
Mouse: Razer Diamondback (with S&S pad)
OS: WINXP SP2 (up to date)
Specs: AMD AthlonXP +3000 2.16 GHz, 1,28 Gb RAM, ASUS Radeon X800XT
Methods I've tried already:
Using registry fixes including the cpl fix
Fiddling with reg values manually
Using an executable to reset accel (the accel kept going on and off in the game)
Switching back and forth with Razer and M$ default drivers (smoothing on or off no avail)
And some other fancy crap
And yes I just got the new 5.0.8.0 drivers for razer DB and still just no go for the accel <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Are you sure that it's actually off, and it's not just high sense/small mousemat?
I naturally have my sens maxed at 1600 dpi, otherwise I would lose accuracy (and this about accel, not oversensitivity) and I was thinking if this just about having a poor screen with basically capped at 1024x768 res. Perhaps getting a better one with 1600x1200 res support would help?
I was kinda looking forward to responses from other Razer mouse with WINXP users... Oh well <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Have you had the Razor for long at 1600dpi? Is this problem unique to NS, or most noticable with the FPS genre?
If it is, then you might be suffering from inexperience with the high sensitivity mice, like I still am (and probably will be for a while)
The acceleration is starting to be less noticable, the more I use the mouse. If the acceleration is worse in FPS games, then it probably is inexperience at 1600dpi speeds.
Try turning your sensitivity down a bit. It helps a little.
