If an alien invasion was to come with in the next 10 years(yeah prpbably not, but Im just using this as a point) Humans wouldn'd stand that much of a chance. (Alot of you agree) But we have alot of weapons that no one has seen and that our goverment hides from us. Plus I'm sure someone of importance to the defence of a the world or the United States probably has some kind of way to defend agaisnt an invasion.
Regan started the star wars program which was to shoot soviet missles comming to the US from space. If we could hit a missle going at an intence speed, why not a UFO???
Really what I'm saying as we won't be as helpless as alot of people think(thats for situations occuring in the next decade or so)
Plus I'm sure once Humans start to civialltions on other planets or huge star craft(HINT HINT NATURAL SELECTION) We would have some sort of space military(Frontiers Men)

More than likely they would easly counter a homing nuke missle by eather redirecting, or just shooting it down.

Who do you think will win. Yha the romans may get a lucky shot or so. but Bullets are far supior to spears and arrows. Think about thats the technology diffrence of just what 1200 years or so. (I know my history sucks, but you get the picture) If a space ship came here with the intention to kill us, it would be like a diffrence of at least 50,000 years tech. and you can already see the diffrence between just 1200 years.

Although frankly, if i was an alien race, I would take one look at earth, and humanity, and go. "Screw this place, im not gonna go done there, they're still fighting over what religion is the right one. If I were to land on this planet, id prob get rushed by the local goverment then anal probed to death. Screw this, im outa here" and then they would go to report back or what ever and say what a bunch of slobbering fools we are. Although I wouldn't be surpised if they were making a TV show about the stupid drama that happens on this planet.
