    I'd like to see the look on the Scientist's faces when this thing smashes back into Earth 50,000 years later and confuses the hell out of everyone.

    Taking half a second to think about this. conisdering how much human civilization has advanced in only the past 2000 years....

    I mean wow, 50k years seems a bit well, long, if this thing happens to come back in one piece its probably going to take scientist one hell of a a lot of work jsut to translate everything lol.

    Think of how much trouble we have with trying to translate stuff from 2000 years ago, even stuff from advanced civilizations.

    Then they most likely will not know to distinguish all the serious letters from some of the more well writian joke ones.

    Oh it will be fun.

    Anyways. i think they should make this thing come back in like 2,000 years (now that huans have advanced to a certain higher level of being as we dont write on cave walls etc it should be easier to translate) or even up to 5000 in the future.

    Well, if they keep track of the project and remind themselves (them being people who headed this project up and those who come after them) to make translations as languages change, then they shouldn't have a problem. Of course, you'd have to do that for 50,000 years.

    And they'd have to go to space to do it. It's a satellite!

    Also, where in the hell is it going to hang out for 50,000 years? Chillin' with Jupiter? <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
    Its going to orbit the earth, and its orbit will decay until, 50,000 years later, it crashes into the earth, and part of its heat shield burns off to create a fantastic light show to herald its arrival.

    I think we need these messages on board:

    "So, did war begin in A.D. 2101?"

    "All your base are belong to us."

    "42."
