Anyone Know Why Ingame Browser Is Having Problems?

I hope it'll get fixed, since I still prefer to use that instead of all those 3rd party tools(and its free). Anyone know why it isn't working properly?
BTW, I dont mean the filtering custom games or anything. When you click internet game, the just says connecting, counts down to 0 over and over, then goes to the browser with a blank screen. Then it updates servers at a very slow rate (using DSL)
Never ran into this problem before I stopped playing halflife games a few months ago (unless it was my own internet giving me problems)
This isn't isolated to NS either, doesn't for CS or whatever, can only update list rarely for any halflife based game.
