Well the time has come for me to get some new web hosting sorted out (and maybe a new laptop my keyboard appears to be faulty). My old hosting was Exensive ASP bullcrappery and my new site is going to MySQL/PHP. I used to have 1gb of space and 1gb of bandwidth a month for £25 for 2 years.

I bought some hosting from ebay and for a while all was fine and dandy, but mid january a server decided to catch fire, so they bought a new sever and migrated accounts but mine was lost. I have since contacted them for a new account but i can't get in touch, the bastards. As such i hope
<a href='http://hostinggeneration.net/hg/index.php' target='_blank'>hosting generation</a> rot in hell.

OK, so it's time to buy some new hosting. I have around £30 (around $55) to spend a year. I need atleast 1GB of space, php 4, 1MySql database and 20Gb of bandwidth. More bandwidth is better than more space too. I need a host which wont crap all over me like mr.ebay host and will deal with the uk.

So, who do you guys suggest?

    I definitely have to recommend <a href='http://www.fuitadnet.com' target='_blank'>Fuitadnet</a>. I've had nothing but great service from them, and the price is the cheapest that I've seen.

    OK, i have found <a href='http://www.clickonhosting.com/home/?D=18' target='_blank'>This company</a> which seem to do very good hosting very cheap. And you can arrange to have your overbandwith ignored if you use one of their banners on your site.

    Has anyone heard of them? Any Good? Any tales of horror?

    Can you be more specific as to what you want?...

    If you want full cpanel & phpmyadmin access yourself, then <a href='http://www.phucknut.net/packages.php' target='_blank'>http://www.phucknut.net/packages.php</a> without a doubt... the guy who runs it, 'CHS', I've known for many years - you can get him on the phone, irc or msn on the rare occassion that some thing goes wrong, and 9/10 he'll fix the problem right there (yesterday he updated to the newest version of MySQL cause some thing I wanted to do wasn't working... ). The 'packages' he offers are not fixed - eg base it off the 'Not-so-discount hosting', which is £30 a year - it's meant to be lots of bandwidth (5gig) but only 400mb space.. ask him if you can have more space, but less bandwidth.. etc.

    If however you just want space, and a database or two to use (but are prepared to setit up etc through php scripts) then give me a pm :-)

    (And it's all UK based etc...)

    - tell him napi sent you and it might help a little... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
