Problem Getting Ns To Appear On Steam

<div class="IPBDescription">ugg...</div> hi, my brother recently reformatted my computer, and he partitioned my harddrive into C, D, and E.
I use the C drive only for windows itself, and D is suppose to be for games and programs.

Well, whenever i try installing ns into the D drive (steam is installed under there as well)
my account doesnt show up, (when installing) only halflife does. So i installed it anyway, and, it doesnt show up under my play games list.

Help =-(? I need my ns.. <!--emo&::gorge::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/pudgy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='pudgy.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Make sure it is installing so the folder structure looks like this:
<i>driveletter</i>:\...\Steam\SteamApps\<i>emailaddress</i>\half-life\ns

NOT LIKE THIS:
<i>driveletter</i>:\...\Steam\SteamApps\<i>emailaddress</i>\half-life\ns\ns

I know this is somewhat simple but have you ran through the training course in HL before trying to install NS?

You have to run HL in order for NS to have the files it requires.

Im am also having this problem with NS not appearing in my play games list. CAn anyone tell me what exactly im doing wrong? I dont get why its stil not showing up

I think you just have to load HL up at least once, but to be sure you could run through the training course would only take a matter of minutes to do.
