I will see if I can find it, I think I might have it in storage someplace deep.... <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> Even if you can't find the CD, all you need is the CDKey. Just enter it into Steam, start playing HL, quit, then install NS.
Dr Spike, depending on what version of Half-Life 2 you bought, depends on if you need the HL1 key or not.
If you bought HL2 from a store, then ignore the rest, you'll need the HL1 cd-key bound to your Steam account to play.
If you bought HL2 via Steam, which most people did for the pre-orders, I know I did, then depending on what package you bought depends on what you need to do. If you bought HL2:Gold, or HL2:Silver packages, then stop looking for the HL1 key, you'll already have got HL1 in My Games, but probably not downloaded, double click on Half-Life, and it'll do the rest. Follow the normal instructions from there. If you bought HL2:Bronze, then you'll need the HL1 key, as HL2:Bronze is the same as the retail version of HL2, just without the DVD case, and the DVD.
Hope this clarifies things for anyone else confused with either getting NS installed and running, or the defferent version of HL2 available
