I'm routinely puzzled by the number of privacy\paranoia\freedom of speech stories that seem to flood out of America. Now it looks as if i could be arrested for making the suggestion of possibly writing a story that icluded some people attacking a school. Here's an amusing and only slightly related story!
I've been working doing a big service call at my old High School during that school's vacation (I'm an electrician, there's wiring and lights to fix), and for the last two days the cops have been running training drills for what happens if a kid goes nutso and takes the school hostage. It seemed rather ridiculous to me at the time, a bunch of old cops who have no clue what they're doing running around with plastic M16s (I didn't know the cops around here were issued assault rifles) chasing a kid with a plastic glock and his 3 "hostages" around the school. The cops didn't even know what they were doing, they had only the basic semblance of group tactics, they didn't know where to point their guns, they stuck their heads around corners without getting proper cover, and they were far too easily distracted by kids who didn't have guns, such as myself. At one point when I was working on top of a ladder I had a couple of guns pointed at me and was told to "get off the ladder now." I wasn't paying attention so I didn't hear them and they eventually just moved on. They also had a fog machine shaped like a skull, which did not end up being used and a siren full of empty 9mm casings.

Yup, only slightly related.
Also, his grandparents probably eagerly swallow the trash our government's media feeds us.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Right. The Government's media. Wait a minute, I thought that half the newspaper publications in this country, including the New York Times, harshly criticized the president this last presidential election, calling for an incumbent? I also thought that freedom of the press was written into the constitution, and that reporters have constantly won suits brought against them by the government, in cases tried <i>by the government?</i>
Blasphemy, I must have been brainwashed by Bush and his cronies! You are surely right, the media, who is more often than not constantly criticizing the government, must be a pawn of The Man!
Honestly, shut your damn mouth and think about the crap that spews from your keyboard. I'm glad your conspiracy theories make you cool on the internet, but in the real world, we like to apply something called <i>rational thought.</i> <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
lolol, feel better now?
Really, they're taking it a wee bit too seriously....it's only a piece of fiction, not plans to destroy humanity <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Uhh? Why would you give everyone in the world a gun? <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
It would make the world a better place; everyone would be an Action Hero!
<i>*Dives through window, gunning down Tyrain. I say something cool and witty, then suddenly Mullet crashes through the skylight, gunning me down. And so on.*</i>
Hey, it could be! <i>"I'm divin' through the window, gunning down Tyrain... Something cool and witty and I get hit by a train..."</i>.
