Actually, I wonder if we could truely do this... NS Merchandise in the form of papercraft projects, do it yourself cross stitching, ect! Maybe even Crocheting and the like!

As I mentioned before the first section is black on black, so this picture may be tough to see but I completed about 70 cross stiches last night (so 140 single stitches) out of the 9800 X-Stitches there are total. But I started late and am still getting used to working with black thread on black aida (something I've never done before)
When you look at the following images, you will notice what look like holes. They are intentionally left for other colours.
On the left of the first image is my needle and the rest of the thread from last night..

Still fighting with the freakin' black been too busy to work on it.. I finally got another 50 stitches in it today.. and it looks like I'm at the edge of the blackness.. so finally some freakin' colour..
Can you share your patterns? I'd LOVE to make a cross stitch of that picture of the Marine + Onos <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

The first step is to tape up the edges of the aida cloth so it doesn't unravel.
Then you need to put a hoop on to keep the fabric taut where you are working to prevent buckling and puckering.
And of course mark the center of the pattern and the edges (in blue in this case)
That looks like this

And this is an extreme closeup that captures the starkness of what I've done vs. the cloth.

I have about another 6-10 rows of black that I'll be doing hopefully tonight. So I should have more images tomorrow with a larger visable section.
But I wanted to update to show that I've started.
