<div class="IPBDescription">first time EVER writing a post at here</div> Greetings, all NS players =)

I'm a student from Korea, and currently studying in Edmonds, WA. (still learning English though lol)

I bought HL in 1999, but I was under influence of Starcraft at time.
Few years later, 2002, I started to pay attention to the "HL Tree".

I've had great time by playing TFC, and about a year later started to
play CS starting from v.1.5.
Roughly 6~7 months later, I changed my heading direction to NS(2.0 at that time).

To say honestly, I didn't really pay attention to the forum at that time,
because I thought it was just enough for me to get the manual and news(mostly update changelogs).

However, I've changed my mind since I started to use my spare time on mapping,
and I would like to get some help on NS mapping <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
(not to mention to use this forum as an oppurtunity to help on learning English)
(plus, there is a FIREWALL on this private school dorm's wireless network which prevents steam log-in)

Just let me know if you want to say something to the peoples in NariCS
( <a href='http://www.narics.net' target='_blank'>http://www.narics.net</a> ), the Korean CS community site(...well, better described as "HL" community site lol).

Oh, BTW, if you wanna say something to Superelf, the admin of NariCS's NS BBS(remember this guy?), just let me know, too <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Welcome timewarper. I spent 30 months in Korea years ago and could speak some of your language. I miss pulgogi and yakamish, and the winter kimche. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Howdy timewarper. Good to see that some of the mappers poke their head into the forum for their game sometimes...

On the firewall problem. Port 80 FTW!

    *Proxy Mine Edit*
Configure the main Steam connection to port 80, and it'll connect. No hardware firewall blocks outgoing port 80, and if the response in on port 80, and using the same protocol, it'll just pass through, like a cloaked skulk <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Failing that, find out what the open ports are, and just use them. Worked on a Symantec router and firewall combo.
