well i actually think your english is pretty good and i certanly understood every word you sayd, but im not good at english to so maybe thats why i undertood you so well:P.And about being "not so good" at start, EA games has a good saying for this:"Warning experience may change durning online gaming".

So welcome to the warm and humbel corner of the biggest place to chat with other natural selection players.Once you play ns you are infected and cant never quit playing it basicly so get comfortable...you wont leave this place in a while.

Do not worry much about your english... It will be fine, if you take few minutes to check your words as much as you can... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Everybody was new once, and ns community has pretty much tolerance... But it will be cool if you check forums and guide sites for basic info about "how to play ns"... It can be tricky at first...

Other than these, welcome to forums; and have fun playing ns... ^_^

The NS infection is personified by the Parasite. Once you have it, you can't get rid of it unless you die ^_^

Also, have fun playing NS. As you will find out, the NS community generally has a better attidute towards new players, unless you find yourself in the command chair.

Other than that, I'd recommend playing more Combat than Classic games, and find your footing as a marine first, then toy with being Alein. It'll help you in gunning them down. Trust me. In total I think I helped introduce a full 20 players at CBL before it closed....

Also, whilst we're on the subject of Commanding, a good few pointers is to spend a few games in the base, as long as there's enough of you to cope with the outside. Try to get the hang of what to build during the various stages of the game, and learn what the more successful commanders actually build during which stages, and how they react to the various changes in situation. Don't just think that because someone asks for Heavy Armor, HMG and several other items that they want, it doesn't mean that you should give them it.

Above all, play it as though it is your standard RTS, but with a twist. Remember that in an RTS, your performance is what alone dictates on how well you do, in NS, it's that team as a whole, not just the commander who makes the win. I've seen pathetic commanders still win, because of the sheer determination of the marines, and I've seen truely godlike commanders lose games, and against a handful of skulks, just because the team can't be arsed with the game. Don't be too heavy on yourself if you lose the first thousand odd games when being a commander. So far, after playing for nigh on a year, I've only ever won 6 games as a commander, and have lost far, far more. Also, when you're stuck in the base against a seemingly unstoppable alien force, and the marines are still fighting back with only a handful of LMG's and some shotguns, then you know that you've got some seriously determined people on your side. Most people will just leave, or switch sides when that happens. Don't even give them the time of day. But don't favour your friends too much either. It pisses me off how clan mates always get preferential treatment when it comes to the heavy goods. Ask anyone who's played on my side, and they'll tell you how I am with the Grenade Launcher, but it still gets given to idiots who just happen to be in the same clan as the commander. Don't be picky with the equipment, give it to everyone.
