<div class="IPBDescription">What are they.</div> I have a spare computer at my house that has fedora core 2 installed.

What would the basic steps be for installing and operating a natural selection server.

I have gotten the below steps but want to make sure that they are accurate.

I have hlds installed and have unzipped ns into the folder where it says to be unzipped.

It is in text mode.

I get an error when running that says the console isn't active or something like that.

Do you want to run a LAN or internet server?
If you want an internet server, you'll need a very very good connection.

Exactly. I've got 256kbits/s upload speed, but I can't have more than 8 people on the server at once without lag.

I would look in the server forum here, they will probably be able to help you.
