Where Is My Cd Key

<div class="IPBDescription">Re-install</div>I´m upgrading and I fear I will have to reinstall halflife. Problem is I can´t find my case with the key.
I know the key is stored somewhere on my comp I just cant remember where.
Searched the registry but came up blank.
Plz help.

You are using Steam are you? As long as you remember your username and password for Steam, you will never lose your key.

The old fashioned way : The CDKEY can be found under (regedit) HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Valve/Half-Life/Settings , and look for the string "Key".

Thanks. Didn´t know that steam kept track of your key.
