If some people can fall asleep without closing their eyes, then you're not weird. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I had a lucid once :/ was kool but then I got woken up <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I have that sometimes, early in the morning, right before I wake up. It awesome. I've also caught myself being half asleep many times. It's really weird, you're kind of awake. But your whole mind has gone bad. You believe things that aren't real. It's not a really a day dream..
lol i remember i once dreamed i was a werewolf/vampire thing <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> .I remember i could jump high and i ran to my place and jumped down from the roof over and over again.Then when it went dark i stalked wimen =p.I didnt kill i just scared people.Talk about weird.
oooo i hate it when you have the flu or something and your dreams are crazy and make absolutely no sense. it freaks me out when i have really crazy dreams like that.
Lucid dreams are perfectly normal. Many people don't have them very often (if at all), or wake up immediately due to the excitement.
If you're like me, you'll only last for five minutes after realising that you've been let loose in an uninhibited fantasy world where the only repercussion of your actions is consciousness, or dampness if you're really imaginative.
But the potential for lucid dreaming stems far beyond my awful deviant fantasies. I mean, perhaps we could all have 5-9 hours of omnipotence per day. Neat, eh?
How do we make this happen? You can buy lucid dream machines that, last time I looked (four years ago?), were just expensive flashlight goggles that send you flashy signals to make you aware that you're dreaming. Far from guaranteed success. You may just start dreaming about terrible flashlight monsters with their snaring beams, or evil pilot fish.
It may not be a great idea anyway, as lots of psychologists believe dreaming is designed to help you forget useless information (explaining why you're often unable to remember dreams after a few minutes of being awake). If you're consistently controlling your dreams then your head might pop a few months down the line.
The really mean stuff are the lucid dreams you can't wake up from, the ones where you feel awake, are concious, yet, your body will still not obey your orders. I only had that once, for a very short time, and managed to somehow will my leg into moving a little - which resulted in one of the worst cramps I ever had, which in turn woke my body up for good. I'm not too angry about not getting those dreams very often...

Ive woken up sometimes to find my self paralized and not able to move for about 5-10 minutes.
I meen i can try all i want, but your body just wont move. Then one day i say someone ask about it on t.v.
If I woke up and couldn't move, I would be realy scared. What if there was a roach on my face or something and it crawled up my nose? <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Well I can't really explain, since you need to know me and my friends first, but let's say they remind me of Donnie Darko <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I get lucid dreaming quite often. Just last night I had one, though it's really vague right now. I remember... it was something like a movie being shown, but with me in it. It was all in black and white, and there was something about a house, and some Simpsons characters looking for something... And I remember thinking "whoa, this is messed up." Can't remember any more though. Lucid dreaming is really cool though, you can pretty much do anything you want in the dream.

I often wake up with really awful cramp, so painful. I seem to have the same dream where i'm constantly skiing, I can wake up from those whenever I want. So, so weird.

I once stayed up so much (I had terrible bacterial infections in my head, ears, and stomach at the same time) that I started hallucinating. I kept thinking I could see through time. I believed it at the time, too.
