Cs:s New Cpl Showcase, Ns Worries?

If you haven't heard by now CS 1.6 has been pulled from CPL and from CAL shortly. One of the main reasons was because they were lossing sponsors due to the fact that it was hard to woo them with a 6 year old game. They chose CS:S because it was the next CS game and had the new flashy HL2 graphics. This makes me a little worried about the CAL and CPL standings of NS. Not to say that I'm comparing the two graphically. I would assume that NS2 is a long ways off. Could this bad news for the professional NS leagues?
Comments
I feel like making some fanboy comments of NS:S but I know the mods are already trying hard enough with Flayra on the current NS.
What NS need is perheps more advertising.
But I can always imagine NS:S......shadows......better graphics.......realistic physics........more weapons.........better looking aliens, humans and structures with my polygons.............ahhhhhh <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Sounds like a bad move.
NS has potential, but you are a little too hopeful.

They made painkiller a CPL game when it only has around 20 people playing online at once. But I doubt NS will ever become a CPL game because a:still in a horrible beta state, and b:not managed by a real company(that actually pays people to make the game).
What professional NS leagues?
LOL AMIRITE?
Professional leagues? I doubt anyone's ever made a dollar playing NS.
Even considering a CPL stance toward NS is at this moment useless, as the
community isn't even close to being big enough for such a move. Having 9 people
show up for the NS BYOC at the summer 2004 CPL pretty much says it all.

Yeah the showing was pretty lame at cpl considering I was there.
