I also had a chance to switch to a less nubby name, but alas I couldn't think of anything.

What's wrong with Ken2OBanks though?

It just takes a bit of ingenuity to make your new name look like your old name.

I'd already decided that I was changing from -[Kobayashi]- to Crispy, hoping that nobody had already taken it. I was lucky, but if I hadn't have been I woulda gone for CrispyPie, then Crispylicious, then TheCrisp, then Krispy, etc.

P.S. I think the spaces make you name stand out, T h e m. It's instantly recognisable whereas before with the whole tag thing the mind has to remember two names which is harder. Now when I see "T h e m" I think: Big guy I don't wanna mess with, before when I saw [WHO]Them (or whatever it was -see how unforgettable it was) I'd think: Maybe a teen-clanner, maybe this, maybe that etc.

I think you should count yourself lucky.

I think Speed2Dave got eaten as well, but I lost my email account tied to it, so it wasn't hard to switch to the much less offensive/provocative name I have now.

By the way, it would be interesting if the forum admin would write a script to see how many "leet" names have been changed since the inception of the new forums, and compare that to the number of names that were changed due to "collateral pwnage."
