<div class="IPBDescription">weapon difficulties</div> ok, loving the game.. i mean LOVING it.

one gripe though, occasionally even though i have 3 hives up and full energy, i cant use all my attacks. this can be pretty freaking annoying, ydig? i dont really know what the problem is here, or even if its a techincal thing and im just overlooking something ingame, but help would be totally sweet

Not only do you need hives you also need Movement Chambers, Sensory Chambers, etc. If you are a gorg, go to the menu (usually right click) Move to the left where you upgrade cloak, etc. and right in the middle is sensory chamber. Move left and move up where you upgrade movement stuff like adrenaline and you will find the Movement Chamber. Build three of these, One in each hive preferably and you should be able to use those abilities.

what do you mean you can't use the attacks? Elaborate. Can you not select the 'weapon' for each attack? does it just not work? is the weapon selection menu red as if the weapon were disabled? Please be as specific as you can.

the weapons are red like when there are insuficient hives to use them.

also, it appears that they dont work sometimes. take the onos, i tried paralize, and i just held it down, the little thingies were moving back and forth over my head, but the marines kept running. and he was like.. right in front of me. also with the onos, charge doesnt even deplete energy, which leads me to think it may not be working.

it happens in other species as well. i tried to xenocide and nothing happened. yeah, i know it takes a few seconds to charge up but it never happened at all.

yeah, it doesnt happen all the time.

i have been able to use xenocide and other hive-dependant attacks before, but occasionally it gets all fudged.

I've had this happen to me as well. It's only happened once so far but was still very annoying. The aliens had three hives and I was a lerk. I kept trying to switch to something other than bite but it just wasn't happening. The weapon menu would show that I had selected another attack, but when I clicked it always went back to bite.

ok me too, but the one i seem o have constant trouble with is blink - it just doesnt work at all quite often, i can select it, when i fire i loose energy stuffs, but i dont teleport - i thought it may be like a range issue, maybe i was trying to teleport to far, but it doesnt seem to work a all <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> worse yet it seems almost 7-8 times out of 10 it isnt working. Plus, when it has worked, i found out if you teleport at an angled ceiling you tend to stick in it - i think i found that out first in the holoroom on whatever map houses that.
I did find that when you are stuck in like an offencive chamber or whatever, upgrading yourself unsticks you tho, which is handy <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

the blink thing is a sseparate issue i believe. you have to blink angled slightly up, because if you are pointed w\down <b>at all</b> you'll just stand there and use energy.

To use blink:

Courch aim slitgjtly up and just press fire and off you go... sometiems it even help to jump and croucnh in mid air and teleport jsut remember CROUCH it help alot

anyhoo... back on topic. do any devs know what im talking about or could anybody gimme some advice on how to remedy the situation?
