Useful Little Display Edits?

<div class="IPBDescription">tracers, text time, etc.</div> I've edited the userconfig.cfg file a lot but I know I'm missing other stuff that just aren't there.
What about tracers? Or turning all messages into system messages so they aren't blocking my screen? How about getting rid of hive sounds or the names below ppl's icon's HUD-sprites? Is there a guide somewhere for this?

Thanks,

I can help you with the tracers bit <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=19&t=69025' target='_blank'>here</a>, but I'm not too sure on the other issues.

What do you mean by hive sounds? If you're talking about the "hive is under attack, etc." sounds: <a href='http://www.nsarmslab.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2741' target='_blank'>Make with the clicky</a>

No offence to Flyra and the guys but the ambient noise in NS is asstrociously loud. It wouldn't be that bad if stopsound or mp3 stop killed the noise <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Stopsound does stop them. I just bind a handy button to stopsound - and use it frequently.
