Argh! Cannot Buy Hl2 From Steam!

<div class="IPBDescription">Error message... anyone else?</div> When I try to buy the Silver version of HL2 from steam, I get this error message:

"Steam - Error: Purchase cannot be completed due to an error while processing your transaction. Please try again later."

What does this mean? Is the server down? And for some reason I cannot connect to the Steam forums on there website.

Anyone else get this error?

(I already have HL2 preloaded 100%)

Edit: And for those of you wondering; yes, I have entered by Credit Card information correctly.

    probably related to the fact that many of us can't sign on to steam atm...

    which is no doubt just due to server flooding...

    I bought Retail... I figured all will be good and I just need to connect to steam to register the CD key...

    I also get an Internet Explorer script error when I click on "Purchase Silver"

    when i purchased the silver package (on the day that started), it gave me the same error multiple times, but later it popped up a "thank you for purchasing this game" message and i got a nice email about it as well
